Michael and Marcus are so nice, friendly and helpful offering great advice about where to go and what to do - they really make Lao Haven what it is. For us the location was perfect, a short 5 minute (if that) walk to the bars and restaurants meaning it is very quiet at night as it is far enough away from the backpacker area. We did not book any tours through them as we wanted a full days trekking (rather than Kayaking or tubing), but did book our onward bus tickets which were cheaper than throu.

They also tried to accommodate to requests for modifications to the tours offered by their partners. Rooms are comfortable and clean. You can count on them to offer help if you are lost hiking on your own in Vang Vieng -- make sure you get their number though. I like the fact that it's two blocks away from the bars -- which is great on nights when I want to chill . Simply a great guesthouse. More like a hotel actually for less money though. One of the best places we stayed in Laos! The owners are super nice, speaking excellent english and help you with whatever problem or question you come up with. Even liked the location although it's not right in the centre of town. But everything is easily in walking distance, vang Vieng is a really small town. Restaurant is good too! Air Con and free wifi is a plus. We stayed there for 3D2N. It was the last stop we had in Laos before proceeding to Bangkok . super Excellent hospitality we had got at Laos Haven as compared to Ventiane and Lua Prabang . The owner speak very good English and provide very good advice for things to do at VV and our transport back to Bangkok . Room is very clean and comfortable . Location is also good as VV is small town so walkable to everywhere . We had a very enjoyable stay. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The family who run the place are very attentive to all your needs. Marcus, the son is very professional and courteous. If you're only staying for a couple of nights you really can't go wrong with Lao Haven. Don't forget they also have a spa in back. My wife had an aroma massage and said it was excellent!. Very very pleasant staff, speaking perfectly english & was giving many recommendations which have all been excellent. They were also explaining how vang vieng was some years ago. Excellent breakfast & absolutely worth its price! Very clean. Liao Haven is a very welcoming and comfortable place to stay. Our room was large and very clean. Michael and Marcus are great hosts and attended to our every need. Breakfast is fresh and good. Nice hotel in a quiet location (but no more than ten minutes by foot from the town center!) and with beautiful views over the mountains. The bathroom could be improved, although it did not have major faults. Breakfast is basic but you can have as much as you want of it, so it's alright!. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. the rooms could be better for that price. Mattress may be a bit hard for european tourists. The location is a little far.
