all reviews » It was in an excellent location close to the heart of Insadong. Walking distance to the Palaces the Soeul city tour buses and lots of restaurants. Free wifi. Staff very helpful, the manager not only recommended a nearby Mandu (Korean dumpling) restaurant, he took us there and helped us order... The rooms were well appointed if small. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They spoke very good english and various other languages. They would always go out of their way to help you. One staff helped us book two tours which we enjoyed thoroughly. The rooms were high tech and very clean. Everything is very well-designed and smart. Very comfortable hotel in a good place, just near walking Insadong street and main king palaces. Clean, new, simple and very convenient room, even you have a teapot in room. Housekeeping was slow, rooms often not made up until mid-afternoon; during my stay, though the bathroom was cleaned, the soap scum stains in the bathtub remained. The shower curtain was too long, so had to be hung out of the tub to dry, causing puddles on the bathroom. The room is smallish if travelling with large suitcases. No toothbrushes!. There were no place in corridor to put coat, even no small hanger on the wall, so u have to keep clothes with coat together, but wardrobe is not big. Lifts have designated floors and confuse foreigners. No place to hang washed clothing. Breakfast could improve in quality and presentation. Need better directions for taking limo bus from airport - was dropped off blocks from hotel with no directions. Needed coupons to use the restaurant, not just a room key. No atm in the hotel lobby. No shuttle to/from the airport. No shuttle service for elderly to get to/from subway or hotel with airport shuttle - especially since taxi would not take us. Not much a space. It was a too hot at night and sometimes a little noisey. Nothing. Little higher price. The heat in the room is not adjustable at all. One night it was 28.5c and I was sweating and hardly sleep even though we open the window (which could slightly be tilted open). Water drainage in bath tub was slow. Room is expectedly not big. Even though the bed and pillow is comfortable, we couldn't enjoy it as the room was so hot (with non- stop hot air coming out from the ventilation)!. Not near to shopping center, even subway need time to transit. This hotel was unknown to cab drivers esp from the gangnam side. Trouble is even drivers from myeung dong had to call up the hotel to ask for its location! Since its close to the shopping district and it closes quite late, their free shuttle should operate late too. You should also tell guests that dental kits are not included in the hotel.
