The house was lovely, unique, tasteful, private when you wanted privacy and social when you wanted to meet others. It was an eco-friendly haven of peace in the bustling and lively Lamu town. Michael and the other staff were helpful,attentive and honest and the owners were friendly, and genuinely interested in their guests, which was charming and welcoming. We stayed for 5 nights and we felt really safe and 'at home' in Christina and Paul's beautiful house. Their passion and knowledge about Lam.

Please note that the island of Lamu is only accessible by boat. Flights arrive at Lamu Airport on Manda Island and buses arrive at Mokowe. In order for Subira House to arrange boat transport, please inform them in advance of your flight or bus arrival details. Associated costs must be paid in advance.
