  Having stayed at the Family Inn Saiko for almost a week I have to say that the whole experience has been a truly pleasant one! In fact, I would go even so far as saying that it was one of the most pleasant experiences in a few years worth of travelling. The security couldn't be any better with regards to the doors to the individual rooms as well as with regards to t - I loved how friendly and helpful the hotel staff was and how willing they were to assist me in my travels as well as answer my questions and concerns. The room was VERY clean and comfortable and it was a great Japanese cultural experience. It was conveniently located close to 3 subway stops, including the Ikebukuro station. I definitely enjoyed my stay here and if I am ever in Tokyo again, I will be staying here again! I have already recommended the Family Inn Saiko to friends!

When we asked for a recommendation of a good sushi restaurant, the concierge actually ran out to a place, got us a table, and then walked us there! Impressive. The place is lovely--much nicer than even the photos could illustrate-- and in a great location, near trains, shops, and great restaurants.   I've been staying at ryokan Sansuiso 2-3 times a year for the past 15 years. The value for the price is great. Don't expect the Ritz here, this is a small traditional style Japanese inn, the tatami mat rooms are small with fouton for sleeping.
