We liked pretty much everything - really nice hostel. Clean, bright japanese rooms (western too, but we preferred the Japanese ones). Good kitchen and several places to sit and eat dinner and breakfast. Good clean showers and bathrooms. This place has everything you would really want for a place to stay and explore Tokyo. Convenient for trains and helpful staff. I would recommend Juyoh to my friends, and I would definitely choose this as my base in Tokyo if I visit again. Thanks a lot!.

English speaking staff, appeared genuinely concerned when i told them I smelled weed smoke in the toilet, 10 miniute walk to Minami Senju Station (7 min ride to Ueno station from there). Good if you're coming in from Narita by Keisei Skyliner. Clean rooms. Comfortable Japanese style. Showers nice and easy to get to the right temperature. Nice lounge and kitchen facilities. Side door with keypad and coded lockers for 24 hour access. I stayed here for just one night. I was concerned about the location, but it was okay as there was a bus station right before the hotel which drove me to Ueno directly. I like the room which was quite spacious. There was a mini fridge which was very nice (you can get Bentto or some drinks and keep them in your room) and futon and yukata was very comfortable. Toilet, shower booth, and sinks were very clean. Good price, good location (nearest train / subway station Minami-senju is about 10min by foot). Kitchen available, shared living room with TV and game console, very clean showers and bathrooms. Wi-fi available and well working in rooms. Receptionist speak English. Shops with food and long opening hours are around. - the futon bed and blanket were comfortable - shower rooms and rest rooms were clean - it's not too far from the train station - a combini is located next to the hotel, there's another one cross the road from the hotel - walking distance to Sumida Park (Tokyo Sky Tree can be seen from there). Toilets and Bathrooms are shared but Super Clean! Staffs were very helpful during my stay and speak very good english. Price is budget friendly. Location is around 15mins walk from Minami-senju JR Station , Lots of Convenience Store Nearby, and close to Asakusa Temple. Very friendly staff who all spoke very good English. But honestly - this is a cheap hotel and for given price I had absolutely no problem with these things. - the building is a bit old (the room(s) looked a bit old, the sofas in the lobby were kind of worn out) - a TV is featured in the picture of the room, but there was none in the room I stayed in. The alley on each floor is really hot and humid, maybe you can installed a centralized Air Conditioner . Other than that, everything was great :) I really recommend this place!!. Room's walls were a little run down. Still looked reasonable. a bit far from metro and jr station. The surrounding very quiet at night. Was a little awkward for transport but it was fine. - closest train station is a bit far and requires line change for tokyo - not much around (7-eleven ok). You have only the basic, no room toilet and shower, but for the price is very acceptable. A long way from station and sites. nothing. No-one at reception from midnight to 8 am so keypad entry via bike shed and room key left out for everyone to potentially use - although seemed very safe. hopefully, they provide more comfortable pillows in the future. the distance away from the Train station, it's 1/2 hour not 10 mins. Toiletpaper! Just one towel for women... in general one small towel would be good for hair or bathroom. The location is a drawback. It is too far from the Minami-senju train station.Needs about 15 mins walk one way. the district was kind of scary - homlesses...etc. Rooms are very small without tv. Some problems with wi-fi connection.
