The room was very large (corner twin room), had a nice view, and it was spotless. The staff were helpful and very professional. The location is very convenient to reach any point in Tokyo (by Metro, railway, or walking). The hotel is in a quiet part of town, specially at night, but there are plenty of restaurants around if you want to walk to dinner. It has great additional services such as a lounge with free tea and coffee 24/7, and free WIFI everywhere in the hotel. The result is very high va.
all reviews » Altough I wanted a non-smoking room but when I reserved with booking there was only smoking room, but when I arrived at the hotel I told them that I am not a smoker and they changed my room to a non-smoking floor, THEREFORE I will give them 10/10 for that! Elegant, comfortable and professional, the Celestine offers excellent service, stylish rooms with great views and quality amenities, a quiet sitting area with outdoor patio and free beverage service, and a bountiful East/West breakfast buffet at extra cost but worth it. The hotel is located in quieter Minato-ku but within walking distance of three subway lines (Mita, Asakusa and Yamanote Tamachi). The location is excellent, just minutes away from Mita and Shibakoen stations of Mita subway and Mita station of Asakusa line. We chose not to have breakfast included but we bought a few things in one seven eleven nearby and ate in our bedroom. The room was spacious enough - for Japanese standards - and the staff was very cooperative. Location: Good choice of public transport available, plenty of mini-marts and restaurants nearby, quiet and restful. Terrible plastic flowers attached to each door ... supposedly for decorational purpose but making it worse. The executive lounge served only coffee, tea and water. No soft drinks nor beer or wine. Rooms are typically small in Tokyo but. The main restaurant was closed for dinner and there was no message in English to advise of the closure. I hadn't appreciated that the hotel was on a different metro line than my full day metro ticket so my airport shuttle/metro value for money ticket was invalid..... Of course nothing to do with the hotel. The hotel is not in the center of Tokyo but has two nearby metro station. Small rooms with no cleaning after 15:00. No drinks (except cofee and water) in the loundge. Loundry very expensive. Payment every week. No spare keys. Location is close to subway but a bit far from the JR station. It makes different on a raining day. breakfast is expensive. Staff at front desk were not as friendly or accommodating as other hotels we stayed at. Did not make us feel welcome. breakfast expensive, small rooms. being asked to pay part of the balance of our bill halfway through our stay. relatively small room, problems with flushing. The location is probably better suited for business but there are several train stops located very near the hotel. Including the JR line stop. Nothing. The plastic feel of the bathroom. One would expect more in a 4-star hotel. price for breakfast (2000JPY) - it equals a price of a decent meal for dinner or lunch in a restaurant. Almost none of the staff members could speak English. You would expect that all staff at the hotel reception will be fluent English speakers - not in the hotel Celestine. Otherwise, not many weaknesses. Hotel bar could close little later than at 11pm. Not easy to decline servicing of room when not needed. a little far from the center but whorth it. they forgot to book a transfer to narita hotel.
