Sapporo Grand is an excellent Hotel with Excellent service. We stayed 2 nights and wished we could stay longer. We first met staff member Hideto Sawagashira at the front desk. Even though they were very Busy the staff, in Particular Mr Sawagashira made us feel at ease and made our stay Fantastic. all reviews » My husband and I stayed at Sapporo Grand hotel from Oct 31 to Nov 4. We really love this hotel, room is comfortable and cleanliness,excellent service in front desk staffs. the most important thing is location is very convenient. I would like to thank Mr kimio Mori, assistant manager of inbound sales sects., he helped us to make a call to airline to clarify some of our questions before leaving for new chitose airport. without his kind helps,we might have some troubles in airports. The hotel is clean overall ie. bedroom, bathroom and the whole hotel. The bedroom is spacious and the beds are the normal size twin. There is enough room for the two of us to move around the room comfortably. The hotel staff are very friendly and very helpful. I want to thank the Sales Manager Mr. Mori for his help. The location is also very central and ideal for the sites around the city center. Staff is very helpful and cheerful. As I traveled with my own bike, I need their help on storage for the packaging of my bike, they provided a good service on this. When I left the hotel, they were proactivie to help sending my large carton box (packed bike) to air bus station. The front desk and bell counter staff are highly appreciated. It's a hotel with class and dignity, everything it offers is a high quality product, from the Simmons beds in the renovated rooms, to the pillows, beauty products, incredible bathroom so well conceived, to the most delicious and generous breakfast, giving full visibility to Sapporo's cuisine. It would be ideal if all the hotel staff could communicate in English. Currently only a few staff is available, when needed, to help in the communication. The 1st night that I stayed, the single room is a bit old and small. Small rooms which is typical in Japan. The room we had was very warm, Aircon wasn't effective. None. the concierge need improvement. When we arrived at hotel, we were with lots of luggage, the bell boy should have brought us the big trolley for putting our luggage, he just push one luggage and the rest he left it behind, we do it ourself. very unpractical and annoying. No onsen. No Dislikes. small and a little bit old. Nothing. Staffs' English in the Chinese restaurant is difficult to communicate. The "non-smoking" room was filled with smoking odor. Quite far from JR station. The rooms are, like most hotels in Japan, quite cramped and do not give you the value for money you'd get any where else in the world for this price range.
