The best thing about this B&B is the relaxing bath with glass windows overlooking the river -this is not a real onsen, i.e., the water is not from a hot spring, but it is good. I also appreciated that the room had an ensuite bathroom+toilet, which is not always the case in Japanese B&Bs. The whole place was clean, and quiet except for the soothing sound of the river water. It is just a 3 minute walk from the Kanmangafuchi Abyss/Bake Jizo that has a long line of small Jizo statues with t.

I got a very useful custom made area map when checking in, with good explanation on what is where, tips for sightseeing and general. Very good. There is in-house hot spring bath, 2 private bathrooms. The breakfast is not too rich (basically toast, fruits and a boiled egg), but it was big enough to fill, and the lady who prepared it was really nice too. I still recommend it. Take the bus to see Kegan Fall, it is beautiful. Nice view over the river. Sound of the river in the rooms is very soothing. Small, but cozy rooms. Quite standard Japanese dinner was prepared at the main hotel, a five minute walk from the Annex. And by "standard" I mean very nice one, on a positive note. Onsen on the premises, with a view over the river. The location is off the main roads and there is a beautiful river walking trail behind the property. The owner didn't speak much English but was still wonderfully accommodating, kind, and a pleasure to deal with. This is a great experience staying in a traditional Japanese style accommodation. It is somewhat difficult to find - so better get there before dark. Buses in town do not run very frequently, so leave time if you are on budget, or take taxi. It was around 800 yen to get there from the railway station by taxi. Restaurants in town close early, make sure you eat before it gets too late. It's a bit of a walk from the bus stop. On the other side of the river there's a graveyard, but no spirits bothered us. One onsen bath only, first come first serve, on busier times might be tricky to be right on time to sneak in. Graveyard scene from the onsen could be a turn off for some, didn't matter for us. Nothing. Like everything. It was difficult to get response from the hotel when contacting them by e-mail. -Expensive breakfast (1000 Yen is too much especially when they've called the hotel B&B). only western style breakfast. Can't think of anything. Abit inconvenience if you have a luggage, as you'll need to draf about 10-15mins after your bus ride from the station. Once you leave the luggage in the hotel, its fine thou. The onsen was not hot enough. Nothing. A little bit far from main road. No dinner service. A little bit old and tired. Horrible lighting. location is far. The room was not very clean, it was too far away from the station and the temples.
