Lovely place to stay to experience a traditional Japanese style hotel. Fantastic views of the lake from our room and of Mount Fuji from the roof garden. The lady who looked after us and served our meals in our room was very polite and helpful, even explaining how to wear the cotton kimono provided by the hotel. It was a nice touch to have the same person looking after us for the whole stay.
all reviews » Everything is perfect in this hotel. The staff called "maiyumi" was so helpful during our stay, being able to introduce the facilities and foods in simple English. The dinner and breakfast are excellent, location is good and they can arrange free transport between train station and hotel. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting the place. This Ryokan was very fancy, very clean and luxury. We really enjoyed the terras at the 8th floor, were you could see the Fuji mountain very clear! Also the onsen was really nice, from there you could also enjoy the mountainview. Our room had a nice big window with a view on the lake, which we also really enjoyed. The room was amazing. Ours had our own private onsen with a view of Mt Fuji, and it was completely breathtaking. The staff were very helpful and lovely. They served us a traditional Japanese dinner, and though it was an experience, we weren't the biggest fan of the style of food. Wifi worked completely fine. The bath was quite small though but good enough for 2 moderate size people. The common Onsen is huge. Food were great , lots of food. Minimart and souvenir shops nearby. The rooftop view of mt. Fuji was amazing!. I love Ryokan room style and i think this hotel is one of great hotel that i ever had especially onsen,it was amazing moment i got private onsen.I can relax myself.I got a warm welcome from Hotel and good serview since i walked in this Hotel. all thier survice was very good. They have done it perfectly. The restaurants are not really nearby and there are not a lot of lights on the streets, so if you do not like to go for a walk in the dark in the evening, consider to take a cab or bring a torch. and maybe you want to reserve with a restaurant beforehand because otherwise they might be full. It was perhaps a little bit expensive for the single night that we stayed, despite how amazing the view and room was. Wifi range was very bad and we had to go out of our room to get the signal. You have to be available for adapter for using electronic tool example hair dryer or stright hair maker but i have to pay for it. Some of the Japanese food at dinner in our room, it was lovely to look at, but foreign to our tastebuds. The traditional Japanese bed was not as comfortable as I thought - had I known, I would have booked a Western bed. Would prefer a little bit of 'personal' services (we used to stay at other Ryokans before) as it seems like the staff are very busy all the time. Even though they are very nice, but seems to be busy and in a hurry all the time. - a little expensive - poor Wifi signal - smoking smell in the room - food quality is just standard though great variety and big portion. Cannot see Mt.Fuji from room. Have to make your own futon bedding, only to have the room service the next day undo everything you have done. Not somewhere I'd stay at for more than a few days. More of a special occasion hotel as it can be expensive. just a little bit overpriced. No free Internet, need to go to hotel lobby to get access. This is the only inconvenience we had. Expensive. Staff cannot speak English. Check-in time is too late, Check out time is too early. None. Unfortunately food and breakfast was TOO Japanede and traditional. Strong taste. Could have been a little cleaner overall. The breakfast only available for 3 time slots: 7:00, 7:30 and 8:00, feels a little bit early for a holiday schedule. This is the first/only Japanese Ryokan I've been to, not sure is it common. Check out at 10am is too early especially when we have young kids. From 10:00 am to 15:00 pm the Onsen is not available. Food is below expectation. Rooms were not clean. Staff not well trained. Very little English spoken. Would not include food plan in future. Japanese rooms are not comfortable. Extremely limited English. Below average restaurant facility. Staff not well trained. Japanese rooms better suited for Japanese guests. Food was poor and not fresh. I have paid for the most expensive room and not worthy for that charge.
