We loved staying at the Gardenia! The staff is absolutely wonderful! They e-mailed us before our arrival to offer any help we might need, so we wrote for directions from the train station, as we would arrive late. They sent complete info – bus numbers, times... The hotel was immaculate, the rooms spavious and beautifully appointed. There were comfortable chairs for us noth (often hotel rooms have only one chair, so one person must sit on the bed!). The breakfasts were amazing -- sweet and savor.
all reviews » Where to start? This hotel offers 5 star service. The people here would have to be the friendliest in Italy. They go the extra mile to help with a smile on their face. One even drove us to the nearby shopping centre as we are not keen on driving. The shopping centre is an easy (for some) 5 min drive away and the bus to the arena (city centre) is a 2 min walk with buses leaving every 15 mins and running late into the night. Breakfast was a great assortment, one of the best we have had and includ. The hotel was easy to find. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was very generous and delicious. Staff was incredibly friendly from check in to check out and everything in between. They basically saved our vacation with advice for places to go to avoid the traffic from a major event at the location we had originally planned to visit in the mountains. I'd give them another star at least for that. It's a 4-star place at a 3-star price!. The best hotel during our 10-day journey around Italy. Big comfortable clean room, fantastic breakfast even with fruits (!), the bar near reception works 24/7, free underground parking. People on reception (also works 24/7) were very helpful. This is a fairly basic hotel but comfortable and the room was very nice. They recommended a really good restaurant within walking distance which was appreciated. The location Its 25 minutes in bus far from the center of verona. If you dont have alot time in verona maybe its best to find hotel that close to the center. Extremely slow internet (if working at all). quite far from the city-center. Location: car is essential to get to major attractions, shower wouldn't drain properly, no coffee/tea in room. far from the center (half an hour in a bus). just a small thing - no electric kettle to boil water for a baby in the room, there was only a coffee machine. Would have liked laundry facilities rather than dry cleaning/laundry facilities. They don't have a computer/printer you can use to check your flight in that would be very useful but it was a small gripe. The rooms are a horrible colour, but that didn't really bother me. They were however a bit dusty and old. The rooms are quite small and not really comfortable. Our window has shown to the street which was noisy during the day. Breakfast is poor. It was all good.
