What people say
It's a nice place and the staff and people live there are nice. The
building is cute and locates near churches and waterbus, though
It's a little hard to find, but it's always hard to find a
specific place in Venice. And you can check out by just left the key so
it's really flexible. And the girl who helped me to check in
didn't really speak English, but she is really kind and nice though
we need help of google translate. all reviews »
i like the design and facilities provided by the owner such as the computer use for the guest and also the design of the rooms ans the hall and the kitchen made it feel more like a home.
the location is just perfect! Everything is soo close by....the staff was really friendly....the hostel was clean and well maintained.
Small, clean, warm room, silent and good position in center, wifi, kitchen, friendli staff.
the staff made an effort above and beyond to accomodate my stay.
Location.
The location was fabulous, we stayed in San Marco not the original hostel and the rooms were huge the kitchen facilities adequate. Manoeuvring the lane ways and steps with a case was challenging but directions provided were excellent.
Great location, great prices, all together a nice place to stay in Venice if you're looking for a good deal. Shared a room with another nice couple, and it was altogether a nice room.
Cozy and small, nice location about 5-10 minutes from S. Marco square, quiet neighbourhood, clean.
Good location, clean room, if you need the owner can help you to find bank, supermarket etc.
The good treatment from the employees.
close to main place.
Nothing.
pls don't opt this hostel... it really bad experience t me..
though i stayed for the cheapest price available but the hostel is abit expensive, so would recommend if the owner can reduce it a bit, other than that nothing that i disliked.
the casual, "homey" environment felt a little too familiar if you're someone whose uncomfortable with that.
Narrow staircase, really hard to go up and down with baggage.
You are required to pay by cash only on arrival however this is not conveyed when you book. The caretaker for the hostel George was not suitable. He was rude to customers and had one new arrival in tears after she arrived late in the night because she didn't have cash.
Mattresses not super friendly, fairly hot inside, some other tourists staying there were a bit unfriendly towards the hostelkeeper.
Bed mattress was way too old and practically paper thin in the middle, there is a 3 € city tax per night and 5 € for renting linen which aren't described on letsbookhotel.com, one of the hosts didn't speak English.
A lot of extra payment: city tax-€3, bed sheets- €5, towel-€2, baggage lounge-€3, lock for the locker-2 or €3. I had booking for two nights. After the first night the owner asked as to move in another his hostel because in the first one (where we had the booking) he was waiting a big group of people. And for me it was not very comfortable.
My roommate was snoring :S.
Although I booked dormitory room in 20euro through letsbookhotel.com just one day before my stay, the owner said "we take 28euro including everything". So I had to pay 28euro. And when I tried to use a locker, he said it costs you 5euro to use. what is everything...?.
Boss are not friendly.
Also charge extra 5euro for bed sheet fee.
too expensive.
Absolutely the worst hostel I have stayed at. There is no running water. The owner just simply said it was not his fault that they have no water. The doors didn't seem to be working. I got locked out and was not able to get back into the room even with the master keys.
expensive and dirty.
Upon arrival they kept us waiting for 50 minutes because the owner was asleep (at 4 pm). Torn bed sheets for additional charge 'in case you don't want to save money'. Untidy bathroom.
The worker is not friendly. And the introduction of the hotel is not the same.
