Every thing - the hotel is marvelous (simply perfect). I loved the location, and the staff. To be brief: the best hotel in Venice. Just amazing place, good for any kind of trip, especially for romantic one. Spacious rooms, great view on the city, perfect service and great SPA. The building is fantastic and the room was very comfortable. Very nice hotel.

Comfortable rooms and easy access to main tourist area via tender.quiet, good view, easy transportation. Not very much. Venice is not famous for bellboy service, it's the second time we stay there and carry the luggage to our room. NO.For the price, internet should have been free. a little away from the main action of venice. not easy getting hotel shuttle to hotel with luggage. Some things were overpriced or amenities (ie internet access) that should have been free were not. Air conditioning loud during the night even when switched off !!. I found the front desk service mediocer at best and I found the servers and reception at the two dinner restaurants to be quite rude and unaccomodating. When we arrived our bed was not made it was turned down which I found to be strange. There were not enough chairs at the pool, as one was never available and there were no umbrellas or any source of shade.The retraunt was closed but we were not informed. We went to the sky bar on Sunday night but this was also closed. We found this extremely frustrating. I felt it was one of the poorest hiltons I've stayed in, cleanliness of rooms was not fantastic, no extra little touches you expect from a 5*. Drinks were well over priced from the area. Too expensive to have a quick glass of water and they have you stuck on a little island. Gym was also very small and pool was shut even though weather was nice.The walls were paper thin so tv and talking of the guests either side of my room was too aparent, and i could not sleep.The food and drinks in the hotel were seriously overpriced, and the boats to the main part of venice as the hotel is on an island, were irregular and in frequent.

Important information to guests

When not included in the room rate, the price for breakfast is calculated per person per night. Please note that the spa and wellness centre is available at an extra cost of EUR 20 per person for a 2 hours access. The swimming pool is open from mid-May to September. The shuttle service costs EUR 7.50 per person per stay.

Information about the area

Venice's newest landmark goes beyond the conventional, located as it is in the splendidly restored 19th-century Molino Stucky, formerly a flour mill and granary. From its site on the Giudecca, the gondola shaped group of 8 interconnected islands, the hotel gazes proudly out over the Giudecca Canal and an unforgettable city skyline. All this is just minutes away from Piazza San Marco and all the city's other major attractions.

The Giudecca Island with its Venetian churches used to be the residence of the Doge of Venice and is easily reachable on foot. Piazza San Marco and its Basilica are just 0.6 miles away, the same distance of the most famous attraction in Venice: Palazzo Ducale (Doge's Palace). This 15th century Palace is an impressive building in pink and white marble.
The Grand Canal, also close to the hotel, is Venice's main water through fare, lined with great Renaissance and Byzantine palaces. Teatro La Fenice, one of the most famous theatres in Europe and the main opera house of Venice, is even closer. The same is for Ponte dell' Accademia - 0.4 miles - which is one of only 3 bridges in Venice that span the Gran Canal. Finally, don’t miss the Galleria dell'Accademia - 0.4 miles away - housing one of Europe's finest art collections. Its display follows the progression of Venetian art from the 14th to 18th centuries.

Travelling information

The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service for guests only, leaving daily on a 30’ basis from the hotel to Zattere Gesuati / San Marco and back. It runs from 06:50 until 02.00 and stops in front of the hotel.

The best way from and to all major locations such as the airport or train station is by water taxi. The closest public waterbus station, called Palanca is 10’ walking distance from the hotel and requires crossing 2 bridges. The so called Vaporetto service runs 24 hours and the fee per person is 6 Euro, for one trip.

The hotel does not provide parking onsite. The closest parking garage called Venezia Tronchetto Parking is in the Tronchetto area, about 15’ by water taxi. The price per vehicle is 20 Euro for 24 hours. For more than 3 a 20 % discount is available (only if payment is done upon arrival). The parking is open 24 hours. The payment can be settled with the following credit cards: American Express and Visa.

The only direct way to get from Marco Polo airport to the hotel is by water taxi. Fee is approximately 100 Euro per taxi per way (additional charges may be calculated depending on number of passengers, luggage, etc).
