We were positively surprised how the staff is friendly and make all guests feel like in their own home. We were specially amused by the restaurant team: the waiter is always smiling and playing around with guests (of course, always keeping respect) and the kitchen chef, Federico, even not speaking english, he does his best to communicate with guests and is always gifting awesome foods. all reviews » - The staff was really nice - The Location was charming! I loved the quitness of the island. - The breakfast is quite sober but good enough for us! - Keep in mind that you will have to travel with a vaperetto (waterbus) from venice to a seperate island! Trip will take 20 minutes and than you will have to walk for 15 minutes (or make an appointment with the hotel for a free shuttle service! The walk is nice so we didn't use this service). - Don't expect luxury, just a place to sleep!. Quiet environment. Good food at a god price. Helpful staff keen to pick us up from the station in the evening and even cooking a meal on arrival during restaurant closure times. Big thanks to the chief Frederico for has hospitality which defies any from other catering professional encountered during our stay in Venice (finally some one who cares about providing a good service to the customer). Julie was extremely helpful, giving us specific instructions on how to reach the hotel. Our dinner at the hotel restaurant was fantastic and the staff were entertaining. It was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of Venice at night and the water bus timetables were pretty convenient. Most of the staffs were very friendly and helpful. A great location in a calm and peaceful island just 30 minutes boat ride from the main Venice centers. Cycle ride with the kids around the island was pleasant. Has a farm house feeling. We enjoyed our stay, the Fondamente Nove is just a relaxing trip away and the hotel staff is very nice and friendly. You can select a tasty dinner from the restaurant and borrow a book from a library, which makes it all in all a pleasant place for a 3 days family stay, but don't expect too much for the price. Nice building with a big garden. It is not a huge disappointment, but it would be really good if the rooms had tv screens and/or radios. - Our towels weren't changed while we stayed several nights. I would have liked. - We had nog wifi connection in the whole hotel. Not in our room and not in the breakfast area. Our double bed was twin beds put together and one mattress was really overused. We haven't mentioned it the management team though. We had a chance to visit quite a few places around the world, but never had to pay for a 4 year old when not asking for any extra facilities. More than the money, the particular staff explained the situation in a way that seemed like we were cheating and never been to places. Bring snacks, soda, etc no food avaible except breakfast 8 to 10 and dinner 8 pm to 10. - Takes time to travel to other places - internet wifi not working well - breakfast included. breakfast was quite poor, and the shower was a bot old and not so clean - but they did clean the room everyday!. basic breakfast thin walls, noisy beds cleaning is selective, our towels haven't been changed.
