Absolutely brilliant location if arriving by train to Venezia's Santa Lucia station. Less than five minutes leisurely walk with luggage. When you come out of the station the Grand Canal is in front of you, turn left and as you reach the bridge (which will be on your right) vier left and the hotel entrance is on your left in a few seconds. This is a great spot with shops and incredible restaurants within 100 metres in any direction. The waterbus stop is within a minutes walk. We found the free W.
all reviews » Location was perfect and was just 100 metres from the train station, easier to find the hotel, remember it's very difficult to find hotels in the small streets of Venice and it can be very difficult with a small kid and a big baggage to travel in the crowded waterbus. The street outside the hotel are always busy and crowded, felt very good and safe.The room was quite big per European standards. The breakfast was good and there were good options. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very cl. Very near main railway station,easy to transport luggage especially if Venice is your last stop after a long holiday. If not,if explore other areas away from the tourist centric spots. Was given a room on the third floor,and requested for ground floor rooms,as stay was short,hotel manager(after some tense conversation) was able to accommodate to it the next day,so that was good. Great location - 5 min walk to piazza Roma where you can take a bus to Marco Polo airport (20 mins by ATVO, 25 mind by local orange bus - both cost 6 Euro), train station even closer but I did not use it. Breakfast with good variaty - yogurt,cheese, mortadella, even healthy type of bread! room is nicely furnished, and hotel has nice venetian decor. Good value for money. Great location within the walking distance from the train and bus stations - there's no need to take a boat to get there. It's by a quite busy street, but as you enter it's very calm inside, we had a room with the windows to the garden. It's worth taking the breakfast there - it costs only 5 euro and you can eat as much as you want. Hotel's location was very good. It takes only 2 minutes to the hotel from train station by walk. The receptionist guy was very helpful, he gave us a map of Venice and marked the most important places to see and gave information about public transportation in Venice. The breakfast was ok. Air conditioner was working very well. The position was excellent for catching the water buses. The hotel staff were very helpful. The building is old and therefore has a strange lay out but a member of staff took us to our room. Breakfast was good but basic, you could eat as much as you wanted. If you travel to Venice for the first time, do not bother to look for a hotel far away from transport stations. Carrying your luggage in Venice or looking for a hotel can be very difficult. We were allowed to leave the bags till our departure in the evening, and it was made completely free of charge, so we did not have to walk with them. Amazing location, 2 minutes walking distance from Santa Lucia station. The Ferrovia boat station on the grand canal is about a minute away & all places can be reached by boat / on foot. Room was clean and wifi avaiable in rooms but not from 12pm-6am. Location next to santa lucia station,,as soon as your exit the station just turn left, not long you will se the universo board sign. One person of the staff was very helpfull, printed the flight tickets for me, explaned how to send it by mail and waited patiently. In general, for the price, I consider it is a very good option to stay in Venice. Very easy to find (very close to train station and vaporetto stop and not far from bus station). Bigger than usual single room. it is just a 3 minute walk from st lucia station and the vaparetto from other islands stops just 2 minutes away from the hotel. Staff on arrival helpful and able to assist with transfers to cruise terminal as well as tour to Murrano.. Spoke good English. We could not get the air conditioning working and you cannot really open the windows as these were directly opposite another room with minimal space in between and no security grille on the bedroom window. The hotel feels a tad run down especially in the stairwells and corridors but our room had lovely tiled floor and was clean and tidy. There is no lift so if accessibility is important this could be a factor. 120 eur a night seems a bit expensive but again it's Venice and that too right next to the railway station, so can't blame the price. No lift, no kettle or coffee in the room, room looked old and the view was completely bad. No lift but the porter carried the luggage. Wifi is free and only in lobby. Staff aren't exactly polite,they get many visitors/tourists,so don't expect to feel very welcome here. Breakfast of 5€ is really not worth it at all,bread was stale n dry. Sound proof is not quite good. You can hear your neigbours taking shower or using hair dryer, so don't forget air plugs! But considering bargain price it is minor. no. Bathroom is outside of room but it was dedicated to your room, also it wasn't dirty. The only down-side for some people would be that there is not a lift. This did not affect us however. No wireless in rooms. Air conditioner did not work properly. On top floor with no lift, but i knew this, porter will take up your luggage. Bedroom a little dusty. Coffee not very good. WiFi wasn't strong enough to work reliably in rooms. Room needed small table. Fridge didn't seem to work. Nothing really to complain, room was very small but you get what you pay for. dirty and dingy lobby and hallways please consider for rennovation - complete opposite compared to the rooms (very clean), no wifi in the room only in lobby. Nothing. There were no windows. There was a door that led to the dirty household yard. Could do with a bit of sprucing up. Wifi in rooms would be be but better (available in reception area only). While I understand most of the buildings in Venice are old, an elevator would have been nice. However the staff were very helpful in taking our luggage up to the third floor. There is no lift. But the waiter helped us pick the luggage to the room. The room could have been a bit cleaner. On a noisy little street, though quiet at night. Air con cannot be set to a certain temperature. Breakfast adequate but always the same! Ham and cheese - no eggs. room a little dated and our room was right over the outside patio where people would go to smoke. spent most of the time outside anyway so didn't really bother us too much. If you take the location away the price of this hotel is a little on the steep side for what you actually get. No lift/elevator but the hotel has a bell boy, who assists you carry your baggage. I stayed a single room (Number 47). The bathroom was very very small. That's ok for Asian girl but I thought it was too small for American or Europe man. The price is not include the breakfast . The Stairs and being on the third floor-difficult to carry luggage- although they did have porters. Not telling us that they did have wifi. Nothing. The only disappointment was that I left my leather gloves in the foyer and they were handed to staff but had disappeared by morning. As it is in very near to the station, the road infront of the hotel is always crowded with people. Hence there is always some noise coming from the road. Breakfast could be little bit more rich. Personal little bit joked with us and so on because we were 3 girls. But its not minus only its not so much profesional :). The air condition didn't work in our room. The reply from the counter in the evening was I can't do anything about it. Come on won't you return my money since I paid for air condition as well ? Luckily we were able to sleep well since the weather was manageable. The shower was not well designed with only a hand held option and a terrible shower enclosure door. Nothing. Hotel would need some renovation ;). Lack of maintenance i think. My room is quite okay but wifi does bot reach my room floor. I had a guest, that i asked to invite to the room, for half an hour, so the orher person on the reception cringed on that, mase me feel uncomfortable. Room is small and close to the street, could be noisy at times. Our room 132 , was at the ground floor and It was surrounded by the facilities room (Laundry , Food Storage ,.. ) also some bad smell outside the room . WiFi only available at the lobby cannot reach the rooms .. No elevator. Room temperature. Breakfast is very simple (no fresh fruits etc.) and selection is very limited. wifi should have been provided to each room because it was confined to only reception area and i had to walk up and down 3 floors as the hotel does not hav a escalator. The stairs to get to rooms. Although thy did have porters to assist.
