We loved so many things about Al Redentore Di Venezia. Andrea the Manager was fabulous and could not have been more helpful. The apartment itself was beautiful, very clean, and had everything you could possibly need in a self catering apartment. We had a two bedroom two bathroom apartment and had views of the water - it was lovely to watch the comings and goings on the water. Complimentary tea, coffee, milk, and light breakfast provisions were provided. These were very much appreciated. There .
all reviews » We loved Andreas. He's the most organized, warm, friendly, patient manager I've met during our 10 day trip to Italy. He would have no problem managing upscale hotels like the Ritz. He responded immediately, from the moment we booked online. He always greets us by name and with a smile. We liked the location because it was away from the hustle/bustle of the city, which is very touristy. We enjoyed interacting with more Italian residents and shop owners on the island. It's only 2 water bus s. A well kept neat and clean place. The apartment is not on the main island but two stops away from st Marco square by the water taxi. The three boats that take you from this point home within a 5 min wait. Andre the front office manager was polite and professional . The canal view is small from the room and was not what we were looking to stay in. My wife and younger daughter are allergic th dust and mite and this apartment had no dampness. It's a value deal but one must insure the additional e. I would highly recommend this form of accommodation. We loved how spacious, clean and charming the apartment was. It was tastefully decorated and very warm and cosy. It met all our needs and it was only 5-7 minutes on a water bus to San Marco. The staff was very helpful, nothing was to much and Andrea gave us fantastic advice on the best places to eat and visit. I would definitely come back, it was worth every penny. I would give it 5*. Floor of the apartment was uneven, maybe due to warpage from moisture? Though we really liked the location, for some, it maybe a bit of a further trek, if you forgot to bring something along. I have nothing to complain about, everything was perfect. The pull-out sofa bed was very uncomfortable but they always are. Poor lighting in the bathrooms; a make-up/shaving mirror would be great. No facial tissues supplied in either bathroom. It was a bit cold. We were also on the bottom floor so had very little light and no views. Suggest asking for upper level floor. The apartment we were in had a lean to the left when lying on the bed our feet were up in the air so we had to rearrange the sheets and bedding so we slept with our heard sat the foot end of the bed. When I got out of bed I was constantly stepping on subsiding floor Also it contained a washing machine but no dryer so you cannot dry your clothes. If you are only staying 2-3 days there is no way to dry your clothes. I know it is not a big problem but the hotel is in Giudecca, an island that is not connected by bridges. You will always have the Vaporetto but try to buy the 24 or 36 hours ticket depending on how much you are gona stay. our apartment was at ground floor without a view on the channel, etc. we needed light in the apartment the hole day. there should be a price differentiation between the apartments depending on the floor. so it was a little overpriced. -The cleaning was done only of bedroom and bathroom. Kitchen and dining table wasn't cleaned at all which was a bit unexpected for this quality of apartment - the water buses are operating with longer interval during eveing time. You need to factor in the cost of the water bus to the island as you can't reach it on foot. No breakfast, staff not available 24 hrs, no daily housekeeping service. Internet slightly hit and miss but ok if not trying to stream other than that perfect. The commute to Venice via water bus got complicated and difficult at times. The island could get very windy. Ran out of toilet paper. Being very picky here but the room did smell a little musty and the rooms were on a lean but it far outweighed the other accommodation we had. I prefer A softer mattress. Little things like - no sharp knife. No toaster. No milk in fridge on arrival to make a cup of tea. Cups too small for tea drinkers. Very, very poor internet service. Nothing.
