This small hotel offers personal attention, an excellent position, beautiful sea views from back bedroom balconies and private car parking - all at a very affordable price. We stayed there for 7 nights and can thoroughly recommend it. The owner, Mauro, is constantly on hand to offer help with local restaurants, excursions, and any queries you may have. Nothing is too much trouble.The hotel, situated a short walk from the town centre and close to the cable cars to the beach, has an excellent .
all reviews » Perfect location - Hotel is in a central location in the heart of Taormina, opposite to the bus terminal which makes it very easy to go to other places in Sicily. Excellent hospitality - Mauro, the hotel owner, has given us a very warm welcome, and he is very helpful and friendly. He makes his best to ensure a perfect vacation. He took care for booking the excursions, and giving us information about places of interest which are worth visiting. The breakfast was delicous. The room was very beaut. Mauro, the owner, was very friendly and extremely helpful, giving us great restaurant and site-seeing recommendations in and around Taormina. BTW he is fluent in English. The location is perfect and our room was very clean and spacious - the bed was comfortable and the room, even though facing the main street, was quiet. Also, there is parking on the premises, but must reserve a spot before you arrive. This was a great find and would definitely stay here again. I really liked the staff, Mauro the owner is adorable. He helps u a lot with the excursions , the restaurants and know everything and everybody in Taormina . Very helpful!!! I also liked the fact that the villa is rightin front of the bus terminal, that's very convinient and a nice little walk to downtown approximately 7 min. A charming old-fashioned hotel. We were delighted that our room at the back had a tiny balcony & sea view - and a ceiling fan as well as aircon! Breakfast was generous, with excellent coffee. We really appreciated the off-road parking. The welcoming feeling of Mauro and Francesca they were very helpful. The view from our balcony took our breath away. The location is also so convenient and a short walk to the main street. We would return there if ever in Taormina again. We needed a wakeup at 3:30 in the morning and Mauro supplied us with an alarm clock, and the night before gave us drink and food to have later on on our journey. So your sleep quality will not be the best, but the rest was so awesome that at the end it wasn't a big deal . While it's nice to have breakfast on the terrace in good weather, might it be possible to provide more screening from the busy road by planting a thicker hedge or a fence?. We missed the presence of a mini fridge. But Mauro was glad to supply us with ice cubes. Nothing - it was perfect!. It will be even better when there is a rooftop terrace for breakfast.Viva Mauro!. Nothing that stands out!. A little far away from the beach, especially from picturesque areas for sunsets. Could have recommended some of the daily tours to supplement walking around Taormina. Nothing. The mattress inthe room. I think that the matresses on the beds should be more comfortable. I'll try to think of one...but honestly can'T . Limited choice of breakfast. Be careful of which direction your room facing. nothing. room 14 is small but OK, breakfast basic (no fruit, yoghurt). Nothing. I think the single bed I slept was not too comfortable, but maybe it's because I'm used to bigger beds. It was a bit noisy on the street side, if you had your window open, because the hotel is next to the main road. The owner/manager spoke super English which is great for non- speakers of Italian but as a fluent Italian speaker I found it somewhat frustrating to be answered in English - he wasn't the only one though! Please at least let us try to make an effort! Our 'garden view', as it was described, was actually a view of the patio, a tree, the road and the bus station which was fine but perhaps not quite accurate! The toilets in the bar require some attention. - A bit outdated furniture/rooms - No refrigerator in the room. Garden area not maintained.
