The spaciousness of the Hotel, it really is Grand! The views were capitalized on to maximise them, really beautiful. The staff were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. the staff were fantastic,breakfast was great with choice of fresh fruit!. Very nice hotel, good breakfast, very clean, beautiful views. The location was fabulous in sorrento. The hotel pool was really out of this world for the area. The staff were superb really courtious and helpful always with a smile.

I did not like the fact that one could not buy your own drinks and keep it in the mini bar The price of their drinks were redicolously overpriced and cannot be afforded.Ninety percent of the guests staying there the same time as us complained about the same thing.We found they got a bit greedy with drink prices and priced themselves out of the market. If they were to reduce their prices by a couple of euros then we would have spent a lot more time at the hotel bar. Sadly, our peace was disturbed by young children, particularly around the pool area.food and bar prices. When requesting to stay further nights we had to move room every night so it was a pain. The 1st room was very clean, however the last 2 rooms were not so clean, and one room was very noisy with the sound of upstairs toilets and bathroom drainage running past our room at night which made for an uncomfortable and restless night,. Table d'hote dinner at 40 euro each was a bit high for the quality. Drinks beyond our budget. We bboked a superior room that was located beneath the terrace. As all florring was tiles, we were awoken every morning by the large sound of furniture being moved. This went on for over an hour sometimes. Too many english tourists, staff greeted residents with 'Good morning' instead of speaking in Italian.The queue for breakfast. The breakfast food could have been better. Hotter. The coffee was bitter. There are quite a lot of rooms and ours was not the cheapest. Our room was next to the stairs/lift and closest to the bar that closed at 1am and we were disturbed more than once. The view of "mediterranean vegetation" meant a grey painted wall, which made the room dark. We couldn't tell if it was raining or sunny day. We tried to move, but we were told the hotel was fully booked. It was not.

By Aircraft: Capodichino Airport of Naples is the closest one to Neapolitan Riviera.

By Car: Follow the signs Sorrento peninsula ( penisola sorrentina) on the motorway A1 Rome-Naples which will take you at the motorway A3 Salerno-ReggioCalabria. Leave the motorway at the exit Castellammare Di Stabia and follow the signs Penisola Sorrentina on the coast road 145 from Castellamare di Stabia to Sorrento. Once you get to Sorrento follow the signs to the Hotel.

By Train: The central station of Naples is connected to Sorrento by the local train line Circumvesuviana. The terminal station is located right in the centre of Sorrento just few minutes walking to the Grand Hotel Capodimonte. The journey lasts about 1 hour.

By Hydrofoil: From the harbour of Naples Molo Beverello there are hydrofoils to Sorrento almost every hour. The port of Sorrento “Marina Piccola” is very close to the centre and to our Hotel. The journey takes about 40 minutes.
