  We stayed at Hotel Europa at the beginning of our recent trip to Italy and were very glad that we had chosen it as our base for exploring Lake Como. The hotel offered everything that we were looking for in terms of accommodation, living up to its excellent reviews, and we were very comfortable there. What makes this hotel particularly special, however, is the friendliness and hospitality shown to - My husband and I booked Hotel Europa for the last leg of our honeymoon and ended up adding an extra night last minute do to an issue at another hotel. Booking here was one of the best decisions we made on our whole trip. The hotel and small town of Sorico was absolutely charming. Mattia was extremely helpful in planning the ins and outs of our time there. He had current ferry and bus schedules available which saved us a ton of time. Our room was very modern and comfortable with a beautiful view

  Stayed for two nights at this hotel, which is set quite high in the mountains/hills. A long windy road up, but fun to drive and makes the hotel very quiet and isolated with amazing views.   This is a really modern apartment building, with nice furniture and beds (we were 6 in the room for 8). We were there in October, and enjoyed the floor heating, (and there is AC for the summer). We were happy to find dishwasher tabs and soap, and plenty of towels, toilet paper, and good kitchen equipment (not like some apartments where there is ex... what people say » actly one plate per person). We enjoyed going to Menaggio and on the boat trip, and also hiking in the mountains. This is a super place with value for - the facility is fairly new, with underground garage, the pool and tub excellent for kids; spacious, clean apartments; close to one another and yet private; comfortable beds; close to the Lake and mountains; also shop and restaurants within walking distance; the staff very warm and helpful; it takes 30 min (on a densely tunnelled road) to get to Varenna (from there excellent ferry trip to Menaggio-Bellaggio-Cernobbio); quiet! great for watersports!
