  We were on honeymoon in Sorrento and had to drive to San Gimignano so the day before we decided to book a night here to break up the drive so we had little expectations... I can't believe what a beautiful place this is for the price. It feels like your staying in someone's house, it is so "Italian" and the few staff are very welcoming. There was... what people say » no one at the pool which is surrounded by greenery in a very quiet area, making it feel luxurious. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel (do not mis - Tuscan style building and food. We ate in the dining room a few times and were delighted with the food and the very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfasts and dining room. In fact the whole building was beautiful and the shutters - closed during the hot parts of the day was as good as air con. Only used the pool a few times but enjoyed it very much. Owner Marco drove us into town to do some shopping and collected us later - what service! Pierre the dog became a good friend. Such a relaxin

Whilst it is old, some serious attempts to modernise helps improve the facilities.
