The staff were very helpful when I arrived late and they ordered me a meal from outside and brought it to mey room. They helped me with emails and general information about local sights and transport. A very nice hotel and near to the station which was very convenient. Perfect location for the station and old city. Does not matter it a long way from the centro as there is nothing to see there. Easy to catch a bus to the seaside and train to Otranto. Excellent breakfast and served on the terrace. Perfect.
all reviews » This hotel,renovated since my last visit is very comfortable and lives up to its name.It is ideal if you are travelling by rail and need to get early morning trains to other cities in Italy-just two minutes walk from the railway station. Good hotel very close to the railway station so easy to find. Very helpful staff. Excellent room. Nice garden and swimming pool. Very good breakfast. Close to the historical centre of Lecce - easy walking distance. Location was great, room was large, clean and quiet. Slept very well here. Hotel staff extremely pleasant and friendly. Overall a very nice place to stay. Would recommend to anyone. Lecce is a great place. Absolutely everything was first class. Giuseppe on the front desk was one of the most helpful and pleasant receptionists we have encountered. The hotel was a delight to stay in. The staff were great. The rooms were comfortable. The breakfast was extensive. The location is excellent for the town - about 5 minutes outside the city gates. The hotel was beautiful and in an ideal location. The braekfast was served in a beautiful sunny room, or outside overlooking the pool. We had an amazing time. This is an excellent hotel, near the station and within easy walking distance of the centre. Very comfortable and good value for money. The location to the train station: the hotel is just a couple of minutes from it. fantastic big room, very quiet, no road noise etc. Good central location. The normal European plug adaptor for Europe doesn't fit the sockets in the hotel so make sure you have got the right one before you book in. They are available in a nearby electrical shop and cost about 2 euro. Small gripe, pool was closed. The water pressure and the water temperature were very low. This was the one and only drawback. It meant that showers were teid and trickled! The bath took ages to fill and then was lukewarm. Not a massive issue in August in 30+ degrees, but other times of the year?. Pool looked as though it could do with a clean, whole pool area needs a bit of attention. Not bad enough that you couldn't use it though!. For a "grand" hotel I had expected a few extras, such as printed information about the city, a better city map (I mentioned this to the staff, but apparently this is not possible as the city does not provide this to hotels, if I understood the explanation correctly), some cups, notepad and paper tissue. But these are just minor issues. It is a grand hotel in bad times - no toiletries, shower cap, pen, paper etc in room. Squash not juice at breakfast and very limited food range. - Only downer is the awful art they have everywhere. We booked as it is described as having Spa & Massage and indoor pool. It has nothing. The indoor pool area is used as a linen store. The Spa area has not been used for ages and run down. The outside pool area is in need of attention also. Lovely looking building but nothing to offer as stated on letsbookhotel.com.
