We had a wonderful 4-days stay at the charming and elegant Villa Lucrezia!!!. We loved it !!! We asked for an apartment with view to the street and we got the ''CORALLO'' apartment w ith 3 big windows overlooking the nice Piazza Puccini.(( there are also more quiet apartments overlooking the back yard , but we like to watch the city life...)) The apartment is big and extremely comfortable with seperate bedroom, big and comfortable kitchen and big h.
all reviews » We were a group of seven and were in two apartments. Both had full kitchens with refrigerators & microwaves, large bedrooms, ample relaxed seating, and nice bathrooms with large showers. The location was excellent with bus stops across the road which could take and return us to Florence in about 10-minutes. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very good. Finally, the price was fantastic, especially for what was included. The staff were super friendly and always willing to help and advise and offer recommendation. They provided lots if useful information on arrival about public transport and getting into central Florence. It's only 10 mins ride on the bus. 25 mins if you walk. Perfect for us. We could park our car in a locked gated parking area. Lots of restaurants and cafés near by. Apartment was lovely. Accommodation was excellent and staff were helpful particularly with car parking. Room was lovely and cool since weather outside was very hot. Transport to tourist area was easy to use and buses ran very often. the apartment we were given was large, kitchen equipped with all the essentials enough for a family of 4 or more, and nearby bus stop to the city. Very limited for evening dining. Nothing around the hotel. It was a little difficult to locate the hotel as it is back from the road. Could have a larger sign out front to make this easier . there isn't much in the area in regards to restaurants and shopping area. Secure parking is nice but its a problem having to get the manager to move several other vehicles from the very small driveway to get your vehicle out every time you need to. No windows.(2 skylights) Staff didn't follow-up on request. a little far from city center but the bus route was efficient, once you learned the bus system from the train station. Thre did not childrens bed available. Kitchen without glasses of wine - in Italy!. Location not very good,walking distance to centre is about 30 min to city.Only 1 bathroom. We stayed on the second floor in an older building; no elevator and the ceiling was very low towards the corners. Wifi is not good in the room. Not much information about how to reach city centre. Cooking utensils are old. No microwave and washing machine. A little far from the train station. It is difficult to find the staff!! No one worked in the reception. Noise from the business next door (walls vibrating) and apartment lacked utensils/tea towels etc if you wanted to cook. Staff rather unfriendly. Tap water smelled of chlorine. Did not receive the booked room with antique furniture and bath tub. unreachable and unhelpfull staff - no reception, poor english understanding we had to pay local taxes extra and didn't get any receipt. Staff was not so friendly, you need a pleasant staff to operate a hotel. The lady was good, the male staff was not so friendly at all. I have never written a review before but I feel as though I should share my unpleasant experience. The staff was unprofessional, the rooms were dirty, and it was over priced. I do not reccomend anyone choosing this location because it was much further from town than expected. I have to say about staff,I have never been experience so bad before. Staff was not so friendly,poor english understanding,but also dishonest. Because he was a rude attitude and requested local taxes extra I guess,he didn't know customer.
