We liked everything about the Hotel Pendini. The location was excellent, right in the centre of Florence, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room on the second floor was fabulous, it was really spacious with a bedroom, sitting room and bathroom, all very tastefully decorated. My only very minor criticism was there was no mirror in the bedroom. Would definitely stay there again.
all reviews » We were travelling with 3 children under 6. Our room was a new 2 room family suite also designed to accommodate disabled persons and located on the second floor. Unfortunately it did not have a view of the square but the rooms facilities and comfortable size made up for this. The staff were friendly and helpful. An excellent stay. Highly recommended.Pamela assisted us with check-in and provided lots of information, a friendly and helpful personality and a generous smile !! A gentleman at the desk in the evening was also helpful and called and made dinner reservations for us at Paulo - it was an excellent meal and a wonderful atmosphere. The hotel location is also a significant plus. Central position right infront of the SAVOY hotel, and amogst the high fashion stores makes this hotel an ideal base. View from the room across the square with a bottle of wine, bread, olives and salami makes this hotel an unforgettible experience. The hotel doesn't have refrigerators in the rooms, and the water that comes out of the sink is surprisingly warm, so we kept having to buy cold bottled water from the hotel.Bathroom dated. The room was a bit cold at night. The heating was out of control.tough stair climb! lift was comfortable for one person. Noise from other guests in an adjoining room, not that they were particularly noisy but the sound seemed to be magnified.The ensuite was small but fine for the price we paid. Little bit old. Poor sound insulation between rooms. Hard to close bathroom door. Bathroom needs refacing. the room was cold!!!!. The bad news is that the elevator was out of service for a couple of days, the good news is that...there was an elevator! and they provided with an alternative elevator for customers to use while the official one was down. Although we told staff we would be checking out and need to park our rental car, staff did not explain to us the need for a temporary permit. This oversight caused us some inconvience.
