Location was quite close to Santa Maria Novella station and it is near to every attractions in Florence. You only have to walk for about 10-15 minutes to the main Duomo. The receptionist was very helpful and gave us a complete information about Florence. He also let us to check in earlier than the schedule. The room was very large, great value for money and very close to smn station and close to the centre of Florence. We were very happy with this hotel. The staff were also very helpful and gave us good directions. Highly recommended and would stay here again.
all reviews » The location was really good, close to the train station and a short stroll to great bars and the river etc. Easy to find. Our room was adequate, the bed was a bit hard, although the connivence of the location totally made up for that. Close to train station, and not far from city center (15 min walk). The manager was nice and recommended a place nearby where you can eat for 12 Euro a fix menu of quality food (antipasto / primo / second / acqua). Inconspicuous-looking hotel is more than justifies its two stars. We stayed one day and booked at the last minute and it was the cheapest deal, but the rooms and service we are more than satisfied. I recommend. Friendly guys from the reception. Huge and newly renovated rooms. Walking distance from Sta. Maria Novella train station and Tourist Information is just nearby. No elevator :( we have to carry our heavy luggage alone through the stairs and the room wasn't so spacious for 4 persons. Breakfast was a bit strange, probably better to go out for breakfast. There are stairs to get to the room - no elevator (we had luggage and was a little uncomfortable). I liked everything. We had the hard time locating the hotel because of some wrong information from passersby. Lesson learned, go to Tourist Information first. Nothing at all. No lift but we are pensioners and still managed o.k. A bit noisy from the street. Staff smoke. Nothing particular. Kind of noisy as its so close to the street. The room was poor - average. The Hotel advertises sound-proofed, but noises from the street below were still heard. Non English speaking staff made getting help a little difficult. - very small room for four people -very difficult access to the bathroom. Impossible to get money changed at a good rate in Florence (banks won't change and Moneychangers are a rip-off). Not the hotel's fault but use plastic or change money beforehand. no deep impression on this hotel. The breakfast is really poor. Albeit it is not included in the price and it is only €3 it is very bad. The bathroom is too small, the door can't open completely. And it doesn't have a mat so it was wet and dirt.
