The room was beautifully designed and very well equipped and comfortable. The location could not have been better. There was one receptionist who was very helpful (I think he was called Giuseppe). And the breakfast was outstanding (We'd stayed at a few different places in Italy on the trip but this was by far the best breakfast). It is quiet and easy to sleep. It is in a good position. It is in a quiet laneway between the station and the Duomo. The rooms aren't huge, but they are very clean and comfortable. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast is reasonable.
all reviews » The staff were all so friendly and helpful. I had my wallet stolen from the street on day one and hotel staff went out of their way to help me solve all my problems. Nothing was too much trouble. Hotel is very well appointed too. Centrally located and walking distance to the train station. Food/ bars and the hop on hop off bus are only meters away.Large air conditioned rooms which are hard to find at this price and the staff are helpful and friendly. Little touches like home-made yoghurt for breakfast, an English-language newspaper in the lobby, about a central as you could possibly be in Florence, a large and beautiful common areas, 24-hour staff at reception,. Very nice, elegant and coquette hotel, right in the city center. Good value for money, rich breakfast, clean room/ bathroom, interesting renaissance design!. This was a small, unique-looking hotel. The rooms were nice and so were the common areas. The location was great, right downtown Firenze. Great room, great location, most staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable. The hotel is in a good location near to central. but if you travel with a car it is difficult to reach it. Good staff and breakfast. The room we were in was quite small for two people with substantial luggage. In fact it has less usable space than a cruise ship cabin we had just vacated! My wife did not like the European-style shower with no shower stall, resulting in some spillage of water into other areas. WiFi was only working in the hotel foyer. Some of the old wooden furnishings in the room had mould on them. Juice dispenser (fresh juice cost extra) and auto-coffee machine was only available for breakfast when an espresso machine was nearby. Breakfast was very basic and hot food buffet was not kept topped up. In bathroom only shower cabin.breakfast is normal. The first floor room was very loud and wifi was inconsistent. The TV-Sat was not working and this was one of the reasons to book this hotel because of the soccer champions league game. In the room, in the morning u can hear some people in the bathroom in nearest room!!. Took several attempts and probably many 'driving violations' to find the hotel. In truth Florence's road layout is not the fault of the hotel. The wifi signal in our room was poor to nothing and even in the reception were the signal was good the internet speed was very slow. the coffee was'nt good the breakfast was not like 4*. The picture of the room and the hotel on the website did not represent what we actually received. There appeared to be residue mould markings on some of the furniture. Dirty street location, unexpected of a 4 star hotel. The breakfast was very bad and poor. The rooms was dark and had too much moisture. With this moisture you can't sleep at the night. The air confition didn't work correctly. The parking was very expensive. The internet connection was too bad. Room prices don't match its quality.
