First and foremost, the location was incredible. When we first got there, we spent five minutes finding the place despite being in the supposed location. However, this was solely because we couldn't imagine a place for this price to be on the Piazza de Republica!! A beautiful old-fashioned elevator (though very easy to use) leads up to B&B Republica. The street is busy and sometimes a little noisy (people, not cars) but it does not disturb you that much - you just feel yourself a part of a big tourist crowd:) We stayed in a room for 4 people. It was good, clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast is basic but it has everything one may need including some fruits. Staff is really nice, friendly and helpful. The staff was very accommodating, they stayed open late because we were late to check in. The location was very close to the train, to museums and shopping. Staff also gave great pointers on where to eat nearby and the complimentary breakfast was more than expected with good cappuccino. They also allowed us to keep our suitcases there after we checked out so we could explore Florence without dragging those large bags around. We greatly enjoyed the B&B Repubblica, because of its location right in the heart of Florence so that we could walk to virtually everything. You will find a closed door if you do not phone in advance. niente. it is expensive for the facilities that offers and for the inside of the rooms.The bathroom is small. The breakfast could be better and it's a little bit expensive, the price coul be better too. we asked to extend two more days and was told it was done, then comes knock on door one morning to tell us we need to leave now as they did not extend our stay. they found us a better hotel at same rate, would definitely recommend that hotel, Hotel Della Signoria.
