We were looking for a hotel close to the airport that would not break the bank. When I found this place on letsbookhotel.com I was surprised to see the low rate compared to other places close by. I booked a room for our last night in Italy hoping for a clean bed... We were pleasantly surprised. We arrived a little early but were greeted in a friendly manner, offered cappucinos and a place to sit and relax. Once we checked into our room we were pleasantly surprised! It was clean, bright, the bat.
all reviews » The hotel was really a motel with only 8 rooms at ground level and was a very pleasant surprise. Considering the price when compared to everything else I found in the airport vicinity, we were expecting a dump. In fact it was very clean,beautifully appointed and once one entered the "courtyard" on which the rooms faced, you could forget that you were behind a gas station/bar.....except for the sound of the planes departing at the end of your bed. It was actually funny and is what one should exp. I had to be at the airport by 4:00a.m. So I picked Airport Motel that is close but not too close. The manager called in a request for a taxi at 4:00 a.m. They have a small snack shop with home made food like a delicious broccoli casserole, fritatas and other pasteries. I went to be early watched some TV--THEY ACTUALLY HAVE ENGLISH tv--sky tv. I got up at 3;00 a.m., got dressed and was out side the hotel waiting when right on the money at 4:00 a.m., here comes the taxi. I JUST LOVED THIS PL. Ideally situated close to the airport and reasonably priced for the area. Very clean and staff are very accomodating and will with pleasure order you pizza and beer if required and will be delivered to your room. If staying at this hotel please make sure that when you get a taxi from the airport (fiumicino) make sure you take the utf taxi company as they have negotiated prices with the hotel and should cost you 15 euros one way. It was a real pleasant surprise, as very reasonable and my expectations weren't high but it was actually really nice, very clean, 10 mins walk to the beach and pizza restaurants and other beach bars. And quite easy to catch bus to airport right out the front - 1.60 euro is way better than 15 euro. Next to airport at a good price. Staff was helpful and called taxi for us. Nice folks at the hotel and there is a large market 3 blocks away too. There is pizza sold there. We stayed there over night. 5 mins from airport Great little family restaurant up the road Comfortable and secure Petrol station on site for handy hire car refuel. Near to the beach and the airport. Possibility to drink tea in the room (tea bags, cups, teapod). Close to the air port and nice and tidy. Lovely stuff and nice breakfast. Close to the beach too. The rooms are clean and comfy, the staff are absolutely fabulous !!! What more can I say !. everything was just what we needed!!! thanks we will book with you again>. Comfortable room. Very clean. Near the airport. I was very quite. The location near the airport. No restaurant near, a car called by the reception picked us up and delivered us to the restaurant and back. It is close to the airport. No much. Good coffee in the bar. We had asked for help on how to reach the hotel from the airport. A shuttle service was recommended but we were unable to reach the number, no email reservation service was available. - We waited well over two hours to finally convince the shuttle service to give us a ride. - Next time we we would use a taxi. It was less money and much less frustrating. The fridge had been broken by prior guesand which was clearly unknown to Pier and a lightbulb in a night table lamp was missing. Small things of little importance. Would be good to offer a free shuttle service to airport. Some aircraft noise so if you're a light sleeper it might disturb you. (But this is to be expected if you want a hotel this close to the airport). Insufficient insulation of the door, so you hear planes very well. Breakfeast was very poor, a cup of coffee and brioche only. Had tea and coffee facilities but only plastic cups and 2 tea bags. Can only get there by taxi.there is no taxi flow near the hotel. Breakfast is served at the bar and meal should be available at any time during the breakfast hours. Breakfast shoul be serve early than 07 am. Poorly staffed. HAD TO BORROW CUPS & GLASSES FROM CAFE NEXT DOOR(Belvedere cafe) Cafe gave us keys for early arrival as no one available at motel. Sign for Welcome is not very visible from road so spent 1 hour searching. Hotel MUST place large sign at petrol station entrance & at Belvedere entrance because Welcome sign on wall is not visible when driving past. Location at end of airport runway makes it very noisy. right in the flight path of Da Vinci International Airport. Poor service when it came to getting a shuttle in the morning. Being right next to the Rome Airport, it was very noisy with jet engine roar all day and most of the night. It was remote and it was a 20 euro taxi to the terminal; although one taxi driver charged me 30 euros. The owner didn't alert me to the fact that the morning I was to leave was when they changed to daylight saving time so there was a desperate scramble to get ready to go. It is not a hotel it's a motel. Lack of road signs to say where hotel was.Noise from late night drinkers, aircraft noise, no cups or milk for tea making. No where to plug in kettle. Light bulbs missing. Plug in bathroom sink faulty, not holding water, Breakfast no good. It was very noisy, but what can you expect from the hotel next to the airport. In the fridge I found half-empty bottle of sparkling wine and opened pineapple can. In the morning all the staff was out, due to communication problems no one was able to help me get out of this place. I spent two hours on getting any information about bus/taxi/train whatsoever. I just couldn't believe how unfriendly the lady staff was. I honestly felt like I was in army camp. I understood the fact that the lady didn't speak English but it is a hotel for God sake and she didn't have to punish me for it and be rude.
