I didn't expect to much after I read the hotel reviews, but it was
actually beyond my expectations. The studio was very big and had
everything we needed. The room was clean and the hotel manager was very
friendly and helpful. Also the location is very good, as it is not in
the city but actually close to the beach. Go north by foot about 20
minutes on the sea side until you reach a pine forest. Pass trough it
and you will reach a wonderful beach, a lot better than Bombardia,
Lazaretto or the cit. all reviews »
For two persons, studio was quite spacious. Supermarket is right accross the street from the hotel. Staff is very welcoming and helpful with information. Two beautiful beaches (Lazzaretto + Bombardo), Cappo Caccia cave & airport easily reachable by bus/car. Bus station is very near the hotel. Beautiful old town is a nice 20-minute beach stroll away. Free parking spots were in abundance around the hotel, though keep in mind this was October. Alghero is a great starting point to explore North.
It's my 2nd staying in hotel Rina. I was there a year ago with my mom and we liked the hotel and the beach and decided to return there. The hotel is located near the beach and also hosts a swimming pool. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Vorrei ringraziare la Sig.ra Anna per essermi sempre stata d'aiuto.

This hotel was of a good quality for the price. Well located (only 5min
walking from the beach), with a supermarket just close by. People were
friendly, the pool was a plus. I definitely recommend it.
On street parking is possible. Cleanliness is excellent in the apartment. Beach is only a short walk away. It's possible to take a boat trip to see caves(Neptune's Grotto) Air conditioning.
Really enjoyed our stay at hotel Rina, my best friend & I had a girls getaway. The location is amazing & being right next to the supermarket was also wondering!.
Apartment was convenient for many things - beach, supermarket, bars etc. It was faultless - everything very clean and working.

The studio was nice and clean and a good size for two people.the room
got cleaned every two days. Kitchenette was handy to have as there was a
big supermarket next door.however we where told we had to clean the
dishes and kitchenette when leaving which is fine but there was no
washing up liquid, dish clothe or tea towel supplied. Location of the
hotel is good as it is between lido beach and Maria Pia. However it was
a long walk into the old town 25 mins each way which can get tiring when
you do.
Hotel nearby city beach which is quite crowdy but it is enough to 5 min to go for a very nice other ones. White sand...not very crowdy. The hotel is really clean and good standard, big space for 4 people. It is rather city type of hotel. Very close to the shop.
Hotel Rina was pretty inexpensive and clean. I stayed in a studio apartment, and the bed was comfortable. I don't think the studio apartments were as nice as the hotel units in the building next door.

The electric plugs are not european. Something specific to this
island... Depending on the room, you have to ask for an adapter at the
desk in order to charge your electrical gadgets. Usually you can only
charge one thing at a time. Also, the internet is not free and is only
available in the reception. At the beginning it didn't bother me but
sometimes became very frustrating. I think it would be a big plus if
they would make it available in all the rooms/and maybe for free.
City beach is nothing to be proud of. Alghero is derived from a word for algae, which are blooming there. Also the beach was quite littered. True, we were there in the offseason, but no reason to find glass and even a knife in the sand.
It would be nice if there was wi-fi in rooms.
Nightlife was a little below par.
Restaurants didnt all cater for my coeliac husband.
No wifi in bedrooms and wifi in reception had to be paid for as extra.
The only negative points are:
- comfort of the 3rd bed was poor (kind of sofa, not comfortable while it was a room for 3). We were expecting 3 real beds.
- Cold water for the 3rd person who had to have a shower.

You had to pay for WiFi- which could only be used in the public areas.
No bath, across from a noisy supermarket, no tea/coffee making
facilities, hot tub not working, restaurant & bar lacked atmosphere,
little information on local amenities/ markets etc provided.

The building was very noisy - I could hear all footsteps and everything going on on the floor above me- also noise throughout the building as doors slammed, etc. The decor needed a refresh - not a 4 star hotel, definitely a 2.5 - 3 star hotel.

Staff not helpfull I need use computer nobody could help me
receptionists answer was im working here not in internet cafe. To much
rules im the hotel no drinks in the swimomg pool area which closed at 7
cant even sit beside pool after that if dishes left dirty it was extra
charge . we cant pay cash for drinks in the bar we have to use card only
which had received in the begining but extra charge 20 euro if card has
been lost. Everything very strict no exceptions.
Needs updating, ie linen, furniture. It would then be applicable to
charge what they charge. Also no Internet except for in the lobby, then
you have to pay for it ontop of your room charge.... Not good value
there. If this was a business trip I would have cancelled. Misleading
putting wifi in the room features when it's not provided in the
room, or free of charge.
A four star hotel yet the double bed was two beds joined together.
Wifi was a complete rip off. 1 Euro per hour per device and it only works in the lobby of the hotel.
Swimming pool was small and didn't look nice.
Location has no decent restaurants and the nearby beach is horrible and smells like sewerage.

The rooms are too old and too noisy. We always listen to the neighbours (we know for example that they go to toilets..). It is not very relaxing to hear everything what happened in the hotel.
1. The boiler in the bathhroom - there was not enough water to take a
shower for 3 people.
2. No tea/coffee making facilities.
3. The beds/ pullout beds are uncomfortable and old.
4. The building was very noisy.
5. The nearest beach was very dirty.
The hotel is not worth the money you have to pay.
First of all the boiler of the bathhroom, there was enough water to take a shower confortably,my buillding was separeted of the buillding with jacuzzi,pool & restaurant into hotel,I didn't know about clean tax when I booked,but I had to pay for it as deposit when I arrived which was given back when I checked out.

Receptionist instruct us in wrong elevator, we must find our room ourselves. the room was in other side of hotel (other elevator).
We ask double room, we had a twin.
We ask on the top floor, not possible.
