  We were upgraded to a 2 room suite upon check in. The room was very nice and clean. They had a mini bar but also provided complimentary water & snacks in the room. The buffet breakfast was fantastic. The beach is within easy walking distance, and the boardwalk with lots of shops and restaurants just beyond that, also within walking distance.   It was our second stay at Gordon Hotel & Lounge. The location is great- just across the road is the beach. The staff are so helpful and friendly, we found that no request was too much trouble. The staff are knowledgeable too and share with you. We have travelled a lot over years and the staff in this hotel have to be up there at the top.   The Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, from the salads, breads, dairy to the omelets and shaksuka. The rooms and beds were comfortable, and I loved the shower and bathtub. Plus they left a fresh bottle of water as needed. It was nice having the Azrieli mall right there, as well as a full supermarket, again, right out... what people say » side the door of the hotel. I did take advantage of the free shuttle to the beach which was great. It dropped me off at the Crowne Plaza on the beach, - The soundproofing is impressive, never heard of the ice cube machine right in front of my room once the door's closed. In case of dnd, you don't get a call asking whether you want the room cleaned or not, which is just the way it should be. The location is very conveniently located as long as you remember facilities around the hotel being closed during Shabat and plan in advance.
