The Hotel is very welcoming with a great sense of peace and tranquility about the whole place.I felt safe. The next question is difficult as I don't like Tel Aviv but it is the only air gateway into Israel so unfortunately we have to go there to visit Israel.but I do like Hotel Gilgel and would recommend it yo everyone. Gilgal left a very pleasant impression. The stuff was always friendly and ready to help. Breakfasts... I've never had such wonderful breakfasts in other 3* holels all over the world. The location is just excellent: near by the sea and all the transports. Next time in Israel I'll choose it again without hesitation.
all reviews » the atmosphere was very friendly and very accommodating - beyond the call of duty. We enjoyed the Friday evening church service, met some wonderful people including Jacob - great fellowship. Would love to come again soon. Excellent location, 1 block from beach. Was given a double room, which meant very narrow bed (normally they'd push two together). No bathtub. Internet only worked well on one side of the room. Prices more than doubled in 3 years with the same level of service. there is no negative. view to beach only temporary, as new hotel and apartments will block it eventually. some of the staff lacked a professional attitude towards guests. Some facilities are too old or broken. Unfortunately loads of building noise all around, loud air conditioning in hotel just across the road. Would prefer better coffee at breakfast. Receptionist was rude and impatient. - Awful breakfast - A/C verey noisy and not working well, impossible to stop/change the settings. Poor Reception area Scarce staff Lift in disrepair Dirty floors Hole in bed sheet DIRE.
