Incredible! Gorgeous hotel with the most fantastic staff! Romantic setting - gourmet food - stunning gardens for dining. Beautiful rooms! We will stay there again - can't wait! Close ro Damascus Gate. Fabulous pool ! The staff is the best we've ever encountered! Shadi the captain in the dining garden was the best!. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a perfect location with a short 10 min walk to the old city. The food was amazing. The garden where breakfast was served was lovely.

Nothing. there was a strange unlocatable faint noise in room 311 similar to carpentry noises(muffled bang dede bang) that went from midday till 8pm on the 3 days we were there we were offered another room (but not as good) so chose to put up with the noise (staff couldn't identify where it was coming from but it wasn't there in the morning nor at night? just through the afternoon very odd. I didn't like leaving!. Can't think of anything. N/A. Staff and service very average. One lady at the reception desk was charming but the men were not particularly pleasant or helpful. the area around the hotel is not great but only ten minutes to the Damascus Gate. The taxi driver outside promoting his services a little too agressively. minor maintenance problems in the room; missed a kettle in the room; breakfast buffet lacks low-fat selection. Bathroom. the political tension surrounding the hotel. staff literally running whilst serving in summer bar, staff should always give guests priority when walking thru doors, around courtyard not barging past. service at the swimming pool poor and when requested several times to take plates away they didn't. some staff very good, only tarnished by a few. Dust under bed and furniture, noisy muezzin before 6 a.m. from near minaret. A lot of cats in the hotels garden for breakfast. The hotel needs updating for the bathroom and facilities!. Too many things n the rooms just didn't work-unacceptable for the rates they charge. Hot wate took 5mins to get warm, hair dryer was touch & go, not sure if bath tub water ever got hot. Felt like it was trading on its reputation. Sort out your facilities!.
