It was a very friendly, family run hotel. The food was of excellent quality and good value. Our room was more than adequate for our stay. We only stayed one night but wished were staying longer. We would definately recommend this hotel to family and friends. Lynn was very friendly and helpful about where to go and what to do - very knowledgeable about the area. The hotel itself was spotless and the food was great. Would recommend highly to anyone who wanted to visit the area. Many many thanks for a great stay.

Rathbaun Hotel, the most renowned hotel in Co. Clare for live Irish music, is on the main street of Lisdoonvarna, 60 km from Shannon and Galway Airports. Traditional music and contemporary Irish songs and ballads can be enjoyed in June, July and August. During the month of September, the Rathbaun Hotel is the leading venue for music and dancing as part of the Lisdoonvarna September Festival. We also offer helpful information and maps on the famous Burren Region.

Please note that there is a 3-night minimum stay during September. The hotel is open from 1 May to 5 October.

Lisdoonvarna is an ideal location to explore the beautiful area of the Burren Region. This geologically special region has many attractions and activities to offer. These include Burren National Park, Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands and Doolin, as well as Lahinch golf course and beach, Fanore Beach, Ailwee Cave and Doolin Cave. The Burren Way, Carron - Caherconnell Stone Fort and Dolmen are also nearby, as are Burren Display Centre Kilfenora, Moher Hill Pet Farm and Newtown Castle.
