Located Just outside of Killarney in a quiet residential area – Hazelbrook is a very pleasant and friendly place to stay and travel from to the beautiful sights Dingle Peninsula to the and the Killarney lakes. Hazel and Gerard were very friendly and, helpful and even made arrangements for our tours. We were happy and satisfied with the accommodations and service provided at Hazelbrook. Breakfast is self made - bread,egs, chees etc are provided. Gerard sing and play the guitar beautifully in .
all reviews » The location is serene and calm, yet within 5-10 minutes drive from Killarney. Very friendly and helpful owners - they gave us key pointers on where to dine in town and what not to miss on the drive around the Ring of Kerry. There's no formal breakfast offered, but the kitchen / dining area was well-stocked for all guests to have a light breakfast at their own convenience. It was excellent, comfiest beds ever, friendly staff that left you alone but were about if you needed with advice on where to go, walkable into Kilarney (about 25mins), clean and the access to the kitchen facilities are brilliant if you are on a tight budget and breakfast is simple but just what you need. Would highly recommend this place. We stayed 2 nites in the self-contained apartment with full kitchen, very nice modern design and decor, even an electric fire, good shower. Ideally located for trips to Ring of Kerry, Killarney National Park, etc. VERY quiet at night, yet close to fun restaurant and bar scene in village of Killarney. Hazel was an excellent host!. We had a lovely stay at Hazelbrook. The room was gorgeous and very clean. We even got coffee, tea and cookies after we arrived ( I assume we may have looked a little exhausted ;)) and got great advice of what to do and where to go in the area. I would definitively stay there again. The room was wonderful, the kitchen was stocked with several choices for preparing breakfasts, and the hosts were very helpful. We would love to visit again. Be sure to drive to the end of the road to see the view!. Hazel was so friendly and took the time to chat to us and make us feel so welcome in her home. She was also helpful with things to see and do and had a great array of maps to help. Having kitchen facilities available and also a lounge to relax in. It was a pleasure staying in their B&B. Their house is very good, the rooms are huge (at least mine was so). I took my son on a little vacation there and we had a fabulous time. Hazel was very helpful in pointing us to great food and great spots that are a must seen when in the area. The decor and pictures in the house were very nice and interesting, which created a nice feel to it. There is the ability to do self-catering with access to a kitchen. Really enjoyed staying in hazelbrook. Very welcoming and excellent hospitality. Apartment was fresh, comfortable, clean and modern. Looking forward to staying again!. Staff / owners were lovely and friendly we had a late night also so never got up till three in the afternoon and that was no problem they never even disturbed us. The owners of this b/b where so helpful when my bike broke down and there hospitality was second to none . I would stay there again at a drop of a hat. Even two heaters were insufficient to properly heat up such a big room, however it was manageable. A bit skimpy with the linens, but you can't beat the price so don't dare complain. Didn't realise that 'no meal option' meant no breakfast service but that limited food and drinks were available on a self-serve basis. No problem with that but it might be better if that were clearer on the website. Shower water could have been hotter, maybe it was just the time of day?. Location outside of Killarney a bit complicated to find. Absolutely nothing!. Nothing- please note is 20 min walk from town. Very warm room at night. nothing. The pressure of the hot water not so strong. Walls too thin. Stayed here for one. Only met the owner when we had to ask to pay. Bad value for what we paid for, no breakfast option just a help yourself limited kitchen. It was more a hostel experience than bed and breakfast. 'B&B' title very misleading! Overall disappointing in comparison to other B&B's I've stayed in at Killarney.
