The hotel, with its restaurant and bar, overlooks the linked towns of Ballina and Killaloe. Well-known sights include the 13-arch bridge and 13th-century cathedral. The towns offer access to the Shannon Waterway. The Arra Mountains of North Tipperary and Mount Bernagh of Clare form the hotel’s setting. The leisure centre has swimming pools, a hot tub and a 120-foot water slide. There is also a gym, sauna, steam room, aerobics studio and a supervised creche. Guests can use the leisure facilities for free.

The staff in this hotel were excellent - friendly, helpful, couteous. In fact as one who stays in lots of hotels they were some of the best I have come across and they need to be commended. That alosne would bring me back but also the view, the location etc is first class. Will definitely come back. the friendliness of all the staff. we had a problem at the start with the radiator in the room...once we notified reception it was dealt with within 15min. also the hotel itself and the grounds were beautiful...very relaxing weekend. bartley joyce.

Always found someone to chat to, lovely relaxed atmosphere was looking forward to going back had a lovely evening. I have stayed before and it is really good hotel. Lovely location and gardens and first class rooms and spa. Only had one night would have like a week. It was lovely and relaxing and my two teenagers were very happy with the pool. Food was great and staff were very friendly. Loved it, we really really enjoyed our stay. Will be back and will also recommend.Lovely location and surroundings. Location was walking distance to many things. View was calming. Food good & staff fine. Clean room. The staff were very friendly and the views from the hotel were beautiful. The hotel had beautiful gardens out the front and a nice pier to walk on. Receptionist on duty the morning we left very friendly and also bar and restaurant staff really good. Staff were really great, very helpful, especially the morning staff. Excellent breakfast in a nice place. view food service. The only gripe I would have was the difficulty in finding it - it is not very well signposted or if it is I missed it!!!!!. We were in room 132 it was not easy to boil the kettle sockets in wrong position. the last time that i stayed there i was in a room at the back next the river and the crows woke me at four in the morning. nothing. Just a little thing but the heating in the room was too much.Had to turn off both radiators,but that's just us. Don't really have any complaints worth noting. No lift Toilet wasn't perfectly clean. Lack of information of on site facilities. Our room was not very clean, furniture dusty, mirror smudged, hair clip and bits of paper on the floor. the fan in my room would not turn off so a sleepless night was had on second night. Leaks in roof . No special offers for repeat customers/guests. No night time entertainment. room was that bit too small. The Bar is too small!. The bedroom we got was not newly renovated and was in serious need of updating. The bed was small and hard, the shower was terrible and there was no safe in the room. We updated to the honeymoon suite which was gorgeous. We were very happy with our stay. Also the leisure centre needs a lot of updating as it was quite dated and shabby. Our room overlooked all the garbage bins. Room not very warm and no extra blankets in room. Rooms are quite small. Breakfast was very good, but the dinner the night before was only ok. The room and the bed were too small, considering the price (110 euro per night in a double room). badly lit up outside conference hall appearance, needs up dating.
