Stayed in the family room with my wife and kids. New re-furb'd. Very clean. Great price. Nice location on beach. Nice fresh Irish fry-up. If you are travelling the west of Ireland and are going to places like Spanish Point, Cliffs of Moher, Lahinch etc = SYAY HERE. 16th June, stayed one night in excellent accomodation in the centre of Kilkee. Better breakfast selection that most hotels. Nice friendly bar underneath to have a late drink after touring all day. 3 guests (2 rooms) for 125 euro , I felt was excellent value.
all reviews » Lovely B&B, great and attentive staff. The breakfast was delicious and very generous, the rooms were comfortable and with all the needed amenities. Location is excellent, 50 meters from the beach, with parking spaces immediately nearby. Mary, John, Yvonna and the rest of the team were friendly and attentive they could not do enough for us. A great stay at a great place. Delicious breakfast with a great selection. The bar is a superb location for a great evening out. Great variety of breakfasts on offer. Attentive staff. General location was excellent (centre of village). Great pub underneath the B&B. Very hot shower with decent pressure. Cosy room once initial heating issue was sorted out. Really enjoyed my three nights. everything was great - but don't stay there when there is live music unless you want to listen to it from 10-12 - because you'll hear it loudly in your room. - and there was bar patron noise depending on your room. The room was really cold on the first night (but dramatically improved on subsequent nights). Fried breakfast was a little dry. No tea/coffee facilities in room. Nothing really quite enjoyed my three nights. No tea making facilities in the room. nothing. We could not stay longer. Minor problems with the free Wi-Fi. no tea/coffee facilities in the room, noisy in the evenings. The toilet did not refill itself, and the seat kept falling off. Synthetic bedsheets and a bit old school. Some bedrooms have great views of the sea. If it matters to you, check that yours isn't just a view of a wall!. Room 11 the room with no view . Nothing. Toilet seat was loose!. bedroom and bathroom were a bit small but ok for short stays. Absolutely nothing. Most rooms are over a lively bar. On Saturdays and Sundays live music starts at 11PM and continues until 1 AM. So this is a great option if you're into trad music, but not so much if you want to sleep before the bar closes. This is something to keep in mind if you decide to stay here. Missed not having tea in room but we got it when we asked. The only problem was the loud music coming from the bar as we were trying to get the kids to sleep. Nothing really. No problems. Nothing. Room and bed a bit small and only one blanket -- was a bit cold. Nothing. No laundry service, no heaters to dry clothes. Noise at weekends after mid-night.
