This hotel was built in the 50's. I remember it since then. Not a lot has changed and I love that !The comforting feel of the place was great. No raz matazz ! The owners/managers were just so kind and low key nice. Wonderful !Old fashioned but full of GENUINE character. Will def be back. We had a lovely welcome and the owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless and comfortable, well worth the cost. The bus into galway was outside and easy. Would recommend the Anno Santo to everyone.
all reviews » It was a nice comfortable room. There was lots towels and clean bathroom. There was a bus stop outside which took people in to Galway city and back. Easy to find.Not too many stairs for someone with breathing problems.Friendly,small bar.Breakfast more than adequate. There was a sign for complimentary coffee but we didn't notice it until we were leaving. Though it did not bother us, some people might think an up date in decor would improve the stay. Tea and coffee not available in the rooms, although tea and coffee were available in the bar on request a kettle etc., in the room would make for a much better stay if like us you are an early riser, also hot water for a shower could be available earlier. lack of parking space, no restaurant or bar food, price did not include breakfast or even tea/cofee making facilities in bedroom, decor was a little dated. not all rooms have a TV. Price Off The Beaten Track. No attention to rooms re servicing. Very dated and bathroom ended a fresh lock of paint. To far from Galway town were we wanted to visit. On arrival was told we would be offered standard breakfast as bonus. Every morning we all guests were asked if they would like to upgrade to full irish breakfast when ordering. Room had no lock on bathroom door this is not acceptable. No tea coffee making facility in rooms only available from public bar. Sink in bathroom not cleaned on one day .Window frames dirty poor view from room I would not recommend this hotel or return. Very outdated and dreary . To go into the city you need to take a car or use public transportation -- too far to walk. The breakfast is not included in the price. We have stayed in b&b and hotels that have breakfast for the same price and even lower than that. The whole place needed a makeover and a good cleaning bed was very comfortable. Price does not reflect service you receive (poor facilities, bedding, no breakfast included in fare) For 75 EUR you could easily get a much better place Parking is very limited - had to park a car on a street Rooms are very small, heating option is poor as well. no tea/coffee facilites in room, noise as room on start of hallway. No tea and coffee in rooms?!?! This was a big deal to us. The beds were very uncomfortable. Fag ash kept 'appearing' in our room. Small, not very clean and antiquated. we arrived for my 10 year old daughter to find an empty wine bottle under her pillow, it went downhill from there.

The hotel has 2 well appointed meeting rooms. The classroom-style Threadneedle Room can accommodate up to 50 people and the larger Kingston Hall comfortably seats 70. Both rooms are suitable for a range of activities from high-powered corporate presentations to seminars and conferences.
