We got there too early to check in but the staff took our bags and gave us all tickets to come back and get them later when the rooms were ready. location, i was able to walk to/from the train station easily and also in to city centre- no taxi was needed!. For Concerts at The Olympia Theatre and access to and from Heuston Station,Grafton Street etc. this is the one. Five minutes walk from Grafton Street, friendly staff, very good value for money.

The room was cosy, tidy and big enough for three travelers can open the suitecases. Especially the nice thing was that our room was the Christ Church-view! It's just across the street!! Their Irish breakfast was also nice even though we should pay for the extra fee. The hotel location was very good, the hotel was quiet and clean and staff were friendly but not intrusive. We tried to get a drink after the bar closed but were unable, most hotels i have stayed in offer a night porter service, was disappointing not to have been offered this service. No, it was very central and comfortable for a nights stay.The internet rates are too expensive. I used internet cafes instead. I understand charging for wired internet in the room, but if a guest has to go to the lobby to use wireless anyhow, the hotel should offer it free of charge. Many people in the lobby using the internet are likely to buy concessions (coffee, beer) anyhow, so they'll make money back from that. We ate breakfast in the hotel resturant 3 days, they offer both an Irish breakfast and a continental breakfast until 10 A.M., and right at 10 A.M. they removed the food, juices, etc., if you got in before 10 A.M. I believe you should receive a time to eat your meal. I would not recomend the resturant for this reason.No residents bar for a late drink!. Asked for a non smoking room, everything still smelt like smoke, but it wasn't a huge issue.We had visitors to the hotel and there was some confusion about them wanting to leave the hotel car park late at night, however it did get sorted out. I was there on business staying with colleagues and the comment was made that the although the staff were ok in terms of service the majority did not appear local Irish and this distracted from what they expected, ie local friendly people. Reception desk was often very busy and had to wait several minutes to be seen (although staff were helpful when they got to you). Bathroom was dated and grubby looking compared to the main bedroom, would definitely benefit from a refurbishment and some nicer fittings. Noise insulation between bathroom and bedroom poor - may as well have had a microphone and PA system underneath the bath and toilet!. Room facilities well worn, time for some updating, breakfast overly fussy, completely self-service including doing your own toast!. Bar food was only served until 9:30 pm.have stayed in jurys inn in parnell st and in comparison to both hotels the one in parnell st is alot more modern and fresh looking. a lick of paint would not go a stray in jurys inn in christchurch.
