The best thing about the w resort is it is by far the most funkiest hotel I have ever seen. the design of the rooms the bathrooms the hotel the bar is just awesome......its not the typical traditional 5 star hotel design .....it is in fact very contempary design .....i would love to stay in w resorts again and again.....a bit on the expensive side at first but after looking at the hotel and staying there its tot lay worth it....the staff are ever so warm and courts-es .....they go out of their .
all reviews » The big picture is perfect. They really are spot on. The villas are really good. They have figured out what counts for a great experience for pretty much everyone and drawn up the blue prints accordingly. The restaurants are the best at any hotel I have been to - and trust me, I have been to most - and the constant and caring attention of Director of Cusine that we experienced, Richard Millar, makes a huge difference!. Everything was perfect. Loved the added extra the staff did for us for our tenth weding anniversary they did floating candle & flower arrangments in the pool, candles around the outside of the pool & put petals in tge bath with a love hear. meals were exsquisit, service was above & beyond what is expected. love the W retreat we will be back for another rest next time we are in bali. The sea-facing rooms are really out of this world. The waves seem just a stone's throw away when you open the balcony screen. Super soothing and not to mention the insane view. The Woobar was really chill and the food at Starfishbloo outstanding. Breakfast @ Fire was superb and the service throughout my stay was impeccable. Spent 7 wonderful days at W Retreat. Staff very friendly and helpful especially Rita. Could not fault anything. Breakfast amazing. All facilities in the resort lovely. Can't wait to go back. awesome spot the staff were extremely friendly. would highly advise the whatever/whenever service in the one bedroom villas. the staff who drive the golf buggies were awesome. General atmosphere Woo bar cocktails. The only thing they could improve is their veg varity at breakfast or else this hotel is a 110 on 100. I stayed at a Villa and there always seemed to be spots on the floors and bathroom walls. Maybe it is because of the construction material, but it nonetheless did not strike me as commensurate with the standard otherwise experienced. Another thing: once had to wait for half an hour for the check at the pool deck, since I was completely unable to get the attention of anyone in sight (but keep in mind that I stayed for five days). nothing to fault. I stayed for 4 nights @ SGD$650 per night. That was a little steep. And the aircon leaked during my last night, but maintenance was pretty quick in solving the problem. Nothing. The hamburgers. There was nothing to not like, by far the best place ive ever stayed xox. The Bathroom need to be maintained well. Would recommend to explore restaurants outside the hotel. The floors in the room weren`t washed- durty stains everywhere even after we`ve asked to clean our room. My husband had a birthday during the stay and I`ve informed the staff about it, they promissed to decorate the room or bring the cake, but nothing was done, I was shocked! The rooms aren`t really soundproof. It can be a little expensive even if hotel is half empty. The last minute rates could be lower. The pool could be cooler. Probably due to it being so shallow. alcohol prices only 3 checkin staff. at the night the balcony's door next our room made a very disturbing noice all night long ,maybe becoz the wind blews hardly that night.. but thats really disturbing our sleep... Too many unfortunately. My wifes name is cohen now but they caled us by her previous name every day even though we continously told them not too. On arrival they had a welcome drink, which was warm and no idea. On one day they came into our room without knowing and we were naked?! I didnt want tocomplain at the moment because i worried the person would get in a lot of trouble. Nothing specific ... But as the case with most of Bali beaches, it is for surfers not for swimmers .. Too big waves. We could not use the sea.wrong information. Nothing at all. Can't think of anything that I dislike. The recommendations from the concierge was not ideal. The noise from the aircond in villa 65. Nothing. dark light in vanity for applying make-up. the food arent good. nothing. Nothing. Nothing. I experienced noise from the room above, apparently the hotel was doing some work early morning and the noise lasted all morning.! I could not really have a simple good sleep. Also I didn't like the price of the food or other services in the hotel.. It's high above average on Bali. I felt it's a rip off! I recommend going out of the hotel for food or drink and many other services.. There is no point of going to Indonesia and paying like being in Australia or the us. Very bad room service, they are not clean the room well not a romantic place at all. Staff pleasant, but forgetful on details, eg laundry not picked up, generally slow service Very poor room for the money - my view was of an incomplete construction project on the site next door I was away on a diving weekend with male friends. My wife called the hotel to find me and was told I wasn't staying there. This nearly caused divorce! Expensive and not good enough for the money.
