The Dipan was so good, I returned after spending a week in Ubud. The staff and villas are wonderful, with a gorgeous lagoon pool you will not want to leave. My family were all sick during our stay, and management and staff were very caring and helpful. The neighbouring spa is great for massages, and pampering. Best of all is the Dipan's location: you can walk to both Ku De Ta and Potato Head. Loved it - would definitely return to the Dipan.
all reviews » Excellent breakfasts we were upgraded from a 1 bed villa to a 3 bed (although only allowed to use 2 bedrooms, the third was ceremonially locked!!), a lovely villa for 2 adults and 2 children. Villa had useful plunge pool that the kids could play in while we watched from the room/patio staff very attentive good food in the hotel restraunt. It was my husband's 30th Birthday, they presented him with a Cake and sing-song which was fabulous and they also upgraded us free of charge to one of their private Villas with own rim-flow swimming pool - this was an amazing surprise!. the staff were fantastic, very friendly & helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean & well catered. The resort had a nice friendly feel about it. Everything. The staff was incredibly friendly, the rooms were awesome and clean, breakfast was amazing. Definitely would come back. the anti-mosquito kit by the staff, the fragrant oil in the bathroom, the private pool, the mini waterfall on the pool-side. The Hotel in itself was generally good and the staff very helpful and friendly, and the location is great, however... We loved the freindly staff the modern deco but still with a Bali theme, great breakfast great location. The staff was really nice and made an extra effort. The rooms are enormous!!. The lighting in the dining room was much too bright at night. Mood lighting would be better. Buy some lamps. No access to beach next door to noisy building site very loud cockrel next door started crowing at 4 am, went on until 1pm! Main pool was completely shady only 2 sun-loungers at main pool for all the hotel guests!. Unfortunately the constant noise of the building next door was very frustrating & spoiled many a good night sleep. Obviously this was out of the control the Dipan staff but annoying all the same. It was just perfect. If u want more than 4 hrs sleep on a weekend, don't stay here, with Hu'u bar right next door (major parties Fri n Sat night) and a a construction site across the street (working 7 days a week) there wasn't much "quiet" time. As a minimum get a pool facing room which is a little further from the noise. a little noisy in the front room, so book a back room if possible. The hotel is in a construction site. So a bit too expensive for what it is at the moment. I am sure when the construction is finished it will be a lovely area to stay in. Most of it was great. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the breakfast. The breakfast itself was quite nice, though not very much. The extra ordered coffee was charged to us for 37.000 roepias per coffee. A very high amount for Indonesia. Nothing. Building site on opposite side to the road. They need to send an engineer through their rooms to fix some small issues. We ordered cornflakes for breakfst and somehow they had ants in them. It was quickly replaced by the staff and were apologetic about it.
