Homestay Taruna is located in a tranquil Balinese village, a 3.5-hour drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport. Fantastic Bali Hospitality. The accommodation provided was good value, very clean double room modern cottage style with air conditioning The ensuite shower and toilet is arranged so that your can shower in sunlight or under the stars within your own privacy of course. The restaurant attached to the home stay is excellent in terms of the quality of the authentic food and service provided,. Very good value. The owner is very helpful in terms of providing you with information with no hard sell on .
all reviews » This stay was the highlight of our Bali trip. The whole staff, led by Mr.Taruna himself, were helpful, always smiling, and keen to ensure a good stay. The home cooked food in the restaurant was delicious, beautifully presented and well priced. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide choice of juices, fresh fruit, cooked eggs,noodles or rice, toast and home made jam. Our room was very comfortable, overlooking the pool, with a well equipped garden bathroom, and tea making facilities. The downside me. This Homestay is amazing and I hope I can come back soon! I would recommend it to anybody. The service we received was fantastic. It was my birthday when I stayed there and everybody went out of their way to make it special- I was very pleased I booked an extra night when I was there for it. The food and cocktails are excellent quality. The room was very clean modern and well designed. The pool was clean and in an excellent setting. The garden was beautiful and very well maintained. The location is great, just 5 - 15 mins to the beach (by walk) and just 30 mins by motorbike to Pulau Menjangan (the best snorkeling I've ever done!). Very quiet village, although the main road can be a bit noisy with some motorbike/car. I'd come here ag. Really enjoyed everything here. The staff were lovely and really enjoyed the fact it was family run. Room service was a lovely feature as you could eat on your personal porch instead if the noisier restaurant. The spa treatments were very nice and a great price. The food was pretty good and we ate here most nights. Everything about Taruna Homestay is first-rate, from their attention to detail to their genuine warmth and kindness to all of their guests. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the garden is immaculate with a perfectly sized pool overlooking the mountain. The food as previously reviewed is made with so much love and finesse that we ate there all five days of our stay. Great location, a walk away from the Biorock Project and convenience stores. I could choose a welcome drink when I arrived and I also got one before every meal together with some peanuts. The room was nice and clean with an outdoor bathroom and a little terrace. The pool is nice and new. The breakfast and also dinner was very good and not extensive. You can also change money at the reception an the exchange rate was good and updated. The staff were the best I've experienced at any hotel. They may have given me more attention since I was a solo traveler but the other guests seemed very pleased, as well. Taruna staff helped me set up a snorkeling trip to the nearby marine park and arrange for transport. They also did a free cooking class for the guests on afternoon. I came to Pemuteran to dive - amazing diving. I would highly recommend staying at Taruna, I was sad ro say goodbye. Good restaurant. Altho we left each AM before breakfast, they made coffee for us at 5:45 and had a packed sandwich for us. Swimming pool was lovely. The family treated us like family. - nice garden - nice pool - the outdoor bathroom was great - very very nice staff, they do their best but they seem to be overworked. On reflection I wish that we stayed more than the 2 days that we stayed. I probably enjoyed more food than I should have ... So will less of the food elsewhere in Bali which does not compaee. Nothing!. Nothing. Only down side is that when eating breakfast it is a little too close to the noisey road but most places in the area are and room service is available. I didn't know what to make of it when the massage I got included a face massage using the same massage oil for the body and ended with a hot shower where the masseuse stood and waited for me to rinse off. Bed had a mosquito net which closed only at threed sides. The back of the bed (next to wall) had no net, so there was a gap of approx. 5cm without net, but room was also equipped with an electronic mosquito repellent and staff enlighted incense sticks every evening at the veranda. It is located at the main raod so you have the noise (but I could sleep well although my room was closest to the road, because there is no traffic at night) and also you have to walk about 10 min. to get to the beach. But it is not a white sandy beach where you would just put your towel and spend the day! You have to be careful where you swim because of the reef. This hotel had no beach access. A walk down the road allowed for nearby snorkeling. Traffic was loud at the roadside restaurant (most of the area hotels seemed to share in this problem). Room service was available during all meals and could be eaten on the porch. As others say, restaurant is close to road, but is fun to watch local life zip by. Next to the main road in town gets a little busy during the day but is empty at night. The location of the restaurant. As with many places in Pemuteran it faced directly on to the main road, which could be very noisy at times. The rooms in the front are a bit loud, you can hear the nearby street. Nothing!. None!. No direct beach access, but it is a short walk away. The spa area is not very relaxing as it is close to the street and opens up onto the restaurant. They are working on this, but maybe go elsewhere until they construct their new spa facility. As almost everywhere in Pemutera the front road is very busy and noisy. Nothing. Its a LONG drive here from the airport. close to the mainroad but noise not really disturbing. beach not directly accessible. A fair bit of plastic pollution in the waters. Not all rooms have moskito nets. Restaurant is near to busy road. There are plans to move it back but for the moment it is loud. Meals can be served on the lawn at two tables behind the house if they are not occupied. Nothing. the restaurant which is along the road, so very noisy. The noise of the nearby road. It would be great to have a refrigerator in the room to cool drinks espacially water. The restaurant is on a very busy road. Traffic goes by day and night. - service is very very slow (we once waited two hours to have dinner, they serve one table at a time, so we had to wait until everyone had finished to get our plates) - rooms are not very clean (sticky floor, towels not changed) - the restaurant is litteraly on the road which is pretty busy.
