Excellent, I would definately return to this resort. Quite expensive for one night once you add food and drinks etc.Service was amazing though , so impressed!!!. The friendly people working at the Bintan Lagoon Resort and it's facilities. The attitude of the staff. A large and self-contained resort that you can do everything without leaving the resort. Relaxing atmosphere and a large private beach are vital as a good resort as Bintan Lagoon Resort possesses.

Very quiet mid-week as this island is a weekend retreat for Singaporeans mostly. Main restaurant/cafe could be cooler -fomal a/c would suit us europeans better. Choice and range of foods was good but the quality was variable on the whole. Orzo restaurant had a good menu but the meals were either very good or very poor and expensive. Restaurant - Italian was good, but as you would expect quite pricey. The buffet restauarant was ok for breakfast but you had to walk through people smoking to get to the food as they have stupidly put the smoking section around the buffet area - this is accessible only by a lot of concrete steps.Visited different places around Bintan. very comfortable, nice to relax. The facilities were excellent. It was able to make most of the natural settings. Everything was relaxing and laid back without sacrificing elegance. I would definitely come back for my next vacationing. Very cold aircons (turned on automatically whenever you leave the room).All the staff were superb, very friendly and helpful. I think those rooms does not comply with 5 start resort. The renovated rooms are good. Restaurants were good but I an indonesian restaurant was missing. I would always at least taste the local food when I'm on holiday.One thing that spoilt it was walking from the beach back to the hotel we came across a freight container and a badly damaged building. Not the sort of thing you would expect to see in a 4 and a half star resort!!. There are a lot of little screaming kids running around, but if you stay away from the pool and stick to the ocean you don't have to deal with them much.Food and beverage prices are too high. The hotel dosn't allow external cars to pick up guest and therefore doesn't allow guest to use external facilities like Spa or other restaurant. Oblige then the guest to pay a ridicoulos price for the hotel car/taxi if they want to go out. Shuttle bus to the ferry pier leave way to early. the facilities in your hotel are so expensive and theres only 2 shuttle services in the hotel...cant go out at night...taxi very expensive also....We stayed in de-luxe sea facing rooms on the 5th floor in the west wing so the views were great and the room servicing was excellent. The staff everywhere were welcoming and helpful. The bathroom was starting to look tired and needed refurbishing to maintain the high standards that generally are the norm in this hotel. Where do I start? The room I had booked was a deluxe garden view room with private terrace. The furniture was tatty and old and the room smelled damp. The garden could be walked through by anyone so not at all private. The pictures on the website are of newly refurbished rooms - not the ones we were offered at first.We booked for Superior room with King/Queen size bed.But at the reception we have been asked to wait(Even after 3.30 pm. Actual Check in time was 3 pm) to get Superior room with King/Queen size bed. shower spray make all over the floor of toilet in room was wet, not comfortable. Though is was up to standards, the staff service is lacking. The food in general was poor and very overpriced. Singapore prices are a rip-off. This would not be so bad if the quality was up to it, but it is not.The hotel badly needs refurbishment...it really is only a 2-3 star in its present condition and the cost of drinks is high. the f and b prices were ridiculous by any standards.Noise, room was too far from the reception area, bad smell at veranda. price of everything was so expensive and didn't worth the quality.I won't come back to this place again although the nature was very nice and the staff were excellent.the rooms are a bit dated (old) for a hotel promoting luxury. Needs updating. restaurant not able to accomdate the number of people for breakfast, (quing up over 20mins for egs is abolutely too long for 5stars resort), prices of restaurant too high. The airconn in the room not working properly - too hot. the extra room that i requested for was not prepared even by the time we arrived 4 hours after check in time. Too costly to take the hotel bus ($6) to the nearest so called "town" so small that it takes you less than half an hour to walk through all the shops there. Too isolated that there is no alternative to other foods except for hotel's own restaurants. They supposedly upgraded us to a room, but it was not on the ground floor and did not include the large deck so it was inconvenient and less safe as we had children with us. Also, last time our room was tastefully rehabbed and decorated. The room they gave us this time was very poor in comparison. Would not have returned if I knew it was in this other style room.Outside of car cannot come in the hotel, we had to take their hotelcar or taxi. The hotel staff asked for the credit card to note down the card details.the buffet, the room. Where do I start?It was shabby grubby and worn out. The noise from the building ruled out a relaxing stay. The tennis courts and worst still the Kids club were right next to the sewage facility which made them practically unusable because of the stink. The whole place needs to be shut down and renovated before inviting guests to stay.

From Singapore:
- Accessible via high-speed catamarans from Singapore's Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (TMFT).
- The ferry journey takes 55 minutes.
- Ferry tickets to the resort can be booked via Bintan Resort Ferries.
- Ferry tickets are available at Ticketing Counter 5 and Singapore Cable Car Counters at TMFT.

From Indonesia:
- Take a domestic flight to Hang Nadim Airport on neighbouring Batam Island. Regular speedboat available from Nongsa Ferry Terminal in Batam and Bandar Bentan Ferry Terminal in Bintan Resorts.
- The ferry journey takes approximately 45 minutes.

Upon arrival at Bintan Island Ferry Terminal:
