The welcome check in. The Ferry terminal pick up. The room was beautiful. Never been to any resort before and it was my first and i strongly recommend everyone to try banyan tree. There was bungee to everywhere in the resort. Beach was pretty.
all reviews » The Beach is awesome and the major highlight of the hotel, though it is shared with Angsana hotel and could be used if you stay in Angsana which is 40% cheaper. Staff is super helpful. The rooms are very luxurious. The view from our villa was superb. It's like staying in the middle of a forest but with a spectacular sea view. Friendliness of the staff was so superb that my children aged 1 and 3 were also fond of them. It was a place for total escape from work and a busy lifestyle. Truly a tropical paradise. Ambience, sound of the wave, sound of insect, excellent staff and service. location friendly staff nice villas. Staff were amazing, ambience was great, very clean with a lovely exotic feel. Location - View friendly Staff. Great Villa. Nothing. The pricing of the food was really expensive. But i only had a short term stay. Bats are everywhere, a lot of lizards too. room rate is very high especially if you don't use the private pool outside the room due to many bats hanging on the ceiling and their droppings is covering the floor. it is also very old hotel. It's not a bach hotel in the sense that you cannot just walk out of your room into the sea. On the flip side, you phone reception and someone picks you up to take you to the beach in 5 minutes. Food other than South Asian need to be improved. Pool in our villa is not heated. some maintenance issues. Pretty major drawback - there was bat sh*t all over the balcony and many bats in the outside roof and hanging over our front door. We were basically trapped inside after dusk and could not enjoy the balcony at all. Staff did their best to clean up but the bats just came back immediately and did the same. Due to this we would not return to the hotel again. Such a shame they haven't just netted off the balcony areas, it would be an easy fix!. old Villas with not hygienic Pool and bad AC no shadow on the Villa Tarbolls (black oil) on the beach too expensive no other possibilties around. Food very expesive, very bad service in restaurant, staff are trying but lack language skills, in this catergory and for this price one expects perfection, but not here delivered! Staff always points out 20 minutes before that breakfast buffet will soon be closed, is this nessersary in a5 star hotel or could guests just enjoy their breakfast even if they are 10 minutes over the time. Not luxurious Service sub-par Expensive for the quality of accommodation provided Spa -- masseuse was not well-trained.
