Nice and clean hotel in Buddhist style. Clean soundy beach. As the hotel is situated far from any other places of travellers' accomodation, there are no crowds of people on the beach - only hotel customers. Good food. Air conditioning in my room was OK. Mini bar was also available. They offer free cable internet in an internet kiosk. In general, the hotel is commensurate with a four star level.

The design and lay out of the resort was perfect, the mix of traditional materials and craftsmanship with a modern twist is impressive. Villa tasteful design and finishings and very comfortable. On check-in it was impossible to occupy the room before 3 p.m. Food and drinks were a bit overprised by Indonesian standards. There is no life around hotel, though a village of Kuta may be accessed by car within a few minutes. A major problem for me appeared not the hotel itself but the sea. Hotel beach is situated on a bay. After 2.30 3.00 p.m. the bay becomes absolutely shallow and unsuitable for swimming due to a low tide. Essentially one can swim only before the lunch time. service was very slow. We thought the drinks and food were expensive when compared with other resorts. Food service was very slow and was not good value for money. Spa was fully booked except for one lucky occassion. Very disappointing behavior of just one staff member at the reception that refused to call taxi from company we had choose. We had to wait until he got out and the next guy did it normally with no problem! I asked to speak to the manager... He never came. Restaurant not so good but expensive. Drinks and meals are pricey, particulalrly after the 21% tax is added. The location is very remote, you were forced to stay at the hotel, The Spa was very ordinary and over priced, the beach was hard to move around on due to the very soft sand. Highly overpriced! Especialy food and drinks. Staff definitely needs training on their jobs. The foreign currency exchange rates offered at the front desk are close to fraud. They have taken two payments out of my bank account , it has been over 4 weeks and money is still not back in my account .. Very disappointed , we were going to bring family next time but now thinking again.
