I thought the facilities at La Walon were excellent value for money. Not the most luxurious, but for what I paid my expectations were completely blown away. Clean hotel and very friendly staff who where also very helpful. This might be common in Kuta but I haven't stayed anywhere else to make the comparison. The free breakfast was great and the attached restaurant was also great value. Nice hotel, very centrally located right in the heart of the night life, with all the music pubs / bars / restaurants and just 100 metres from the beach . Simple and clean fairly large comfortable rooms . Staff very helpful. On one occassion I overslept but was still served breakfast 20 minutes after closing time . Free wifi with good speed. 10 minute walk to Shopping malls .
all reviews » The location is ideal - close to everything! The staff are so lovely and helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Drinks etc were cheaper than almost anywhere else we went in Kuta! Rooms have everything you need. I will definitely go back to La Walon !!!. Fantastic Staff especially in the Restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and so helpful and is located in such a great location. Short walk to Kuta beach one way and short walk to main strip in Kuta the other way. Rooms were basic but had everything you needed. Loved that it is in the heart of Poppies. The ground staff are lovely and so helpful. The pool is a nice place to relax at. No noise from Poppies at all. The restaurant is right on site and Mungo the manager is awesome. For me, La Walon has the best location in Bali with affordable price. I enjoyed my 3 nights stay and I'm planning to stay again in La Walon with my kids this next summer. I have stayed at La Walon 3 times now friendly helpful staff happy to help you solve any queries for you. Definitely recommend this hotel. And I know exactly the place where it was shown as it was my second visit to Kuta. The breakfast was quite poor. By the pool, there were no towels. No toiletries, except an ordinary soap. traffic is terrible towards the hotel. Hotel did not provide toiletries (tooth brush, mini shampoo etc). There is no complimentary bottled water in the room. Bed was a bit hard for me but was expected for age of hotel Hard to get to by taxi, poppies 1 is small lane way. It is very humid in room. No comment. 1- Air con not working 2 - No kettle for tea / coffee making facilities 3 - No soap or other toiletries 4 - Towels had seen better days 5 - Room could be cleaner. the facilities in bathroom is bad, the bed not confortable and hard to fall asleep.
