This hotel is located on the Bukit Peninsula, away from the tourist hotspots, on a cliff some 30 metres above the Balangan beach. The rooms are spread across spaceous bungalows in a garden setting with two very nice swimming pools. The restaurant serves good food. We loved the location and watching the sunset over the beach every day. Beautiful view of beach. Traditional Bali still relatively unspoilt, we loved hearing the dogs chooks and cats on a daily basis and chasing the cows out of the hotel gardens.

The room, the private garden, the swimming pool and the gooses. The staff were very friendly and assisted when required. There are a few other hotels and simple beach restaurants on and above Balangan beach, but for everything else you need a taxi or scooter. The noise of near by cockerels in the middle of the night was more disturbing than we expected. the restaurant was too expensive for Bali standards and didn't deliver the quality for the price. The day starts early in LaJoya, with neighboring roosters (countryside!) crowing loudly as of 5 a.m. or before... but a nap at the hot part of the day compensates for this, and actually the early mornings are lovely. A bit pricey. Difficult to arrange taxi's although the resort did sort our transport for us with their own car when we couldn't arrange a taxi. Beds weren't so comfy. Food and cocktails a bit expensive. Duck poo around the pool area. Cleaner turned off air conditioner, so room was no comfort after returning from beach. No tea or coffee facility in room. Constant noise from roosters, from 3am. Air-conditioning questionable!. Far away from everything e everywhere. Its far from restaurantes and centers.
