I enjoyed Anom Beach Hotel so much that I extended my stay. The view from the balcony of my bungalow was my idea of paradise. The bungalow itself provided basic but clean accommodation with the bathroom below the upstairs bedroom. You could see the sea when lying in bed. I slept with the balcony door open to ensure the gentle sea breeze flowed into the room all night and so I could hear the sound of the waves. There is a small, sandy beach that is revealed at low tide and I swam in the sea a nu.
all reviews » My fiance and I stayed here for 5 nights. Although the rooms are basic, the view and staff at Anom Beach made our experience unforgettable. We met the owners who were lovely and made us feel very welcome. Although breakfast finished at 10am on our last day they gave us breakfast at 12.30 pm which we were not expecting. Lovely place and unbelievable value. If you look calm place inside local village it is the best choice. Nice small beach and excellent (really!) staff. People are really nice there. Onwers are very friendly as well and open for hotel improvements. Perfect balance between price and value. Really perfect solution for family with small kids and persons who look not noicy places in Bali. This was our first hotel in Bali .. It was a perfect start .. Charming hotel with faded elegance.. Good value. The location in candidasa was brilliant for our upcoming trip to Gili Trawangan. This is a lovely hotel right on perhaps the nicest stretch of sandy beach in Candidasa. Food and service were good. Very friendly place with really good food. Sea view. We spent 3 night there, in a "beach stop" after Sidemen and before Munduk. The place is clean, we had a spacious bungalow ("superior", with AC, hot shower) for 400kIDR/night, which is correct. The public areas (pool, restaurant, beach) are nice, and you can go snorkeling (better at high tide) from the beach directly. The sea is not really comfortable for families (strong current). Restaurant is good and affordable, but they have a real competitor with Vincent's (much more expensive but deliciou. Bungalows, garden, pools... Everything is nice Food in the restaurant is a bit expensive but VERY good. Nice sea view, excellent breakfast, sandy beach during low tide, good wifi coverage. The small beach and pool were nice. More variety of evening meals needed. with small renovation (f.i. colour painting) even family rooms would be cozy and with great atmosphere. Room provided was in need to a revamp. A kitten stuck got in the wall and took three days for staff to help it out, meanwhile we were transferrred to another unloved room where the aircon was right over the bed..freezing at night, but too warm to switch off. PS: NO TV's. No phone or computors available for hire.A shuttle bus into town would be an advantage to their resort. The only thing I can come up with is the smell in the bathroom because you cant flush your used toilet papper and instead put it in a bin beside. In the end of the day or early morning you feel the smell when you open the bathroom door. But they clean the room every day and change the bin. Some of the rooms have air com and some do not. Ours did not have air con and it was quite uncomfortable. The rooms are Like beach cabins which is cute but it also allows in Mosquitos. If you are going to one of the Gili Islands bare in mind that the islands offer one way fare for 150, which is cheaper than the 800 return that we got. everything was good. Location of our two storey bungalow was too close to reception and parking area so it was always noisy. Lights in room were too dim for reading. Restaurant meals (other than breakfast) were mediocre. Our room had an extra un-needed single bed in it. This took up space and made us feel cramped in what should have been an adequate sized room. The rooms could do with an update. Worse way to beach, you can't go straight from hotel. Everithing look a bit tiered. Not much to do entertainment wise. but it is quite far from downtown if you do not have transportation (anyway, there is not much to do "downtown"). There s no real beach : There s an access to the sea but only by low tide. bit old-school, bungalows and equipment need refreshment. The rooms were old and not very clean. The fridge leaked and there was a bloodstain on the couch cushion. The decor was very outdated. Bed, interior room, almost no beach, leaking toilet. Room had a mosquito problem. Too far from town to walk. hotel staff not very supportive (even not willing to provide a pen to write postal cards !). Bathroom not clean at all and very smelly.
