A very comfortable hotel definitely attuned to the US/European traveler, nice landscaping, close to Varanasi sightseeing. The breakfast was good, didn't eat other meals there and available. Travel agent on site to set up Gat boat trip to view night Arti to the Ganga. A good medium priced hotel. A well-furnished room with hot water and anything a modern hotel should have. There was a wedding during my stay. The lawn and the environment were just so splendid. I really enjoyed the stay especially after a terrible night in the old town of Varanasi.

Food was great even at one am in the morning. Staff really helpful and polite stayed here last year and staff remembered us and upgraded our room location is ok plenty of ricks haws taxis around to take you to ghats etc. Staff n food very good. Bit expensive for me to call it a good backpackers place but value for money was excellent. Very quiet away from main drag. Nice hotel and accommodating staff. This hotel is good value for money, the pool is nice, breakfast is really good. hotel is a bit out of the city, therefore it is quite quiet. breakfast is very good. staff was quite ok. they offer several trips/activities for an ok price. Good food, away from main tourist and holy places, pleasant location, comfortable feel. Nice old world charm. The restaurant wasn't very clean, but the food is good. There's a nice garden for a dinner. Our best remark is the kindness of the driver Raju, who took us to all tours in town. Very good and honest man, try to book the tours with him!. The swimming pool was clean, the cleanest we've had in India ; kindness of the staff. The breakfast was good for Indian standards. hotel is big.good ambience. Although I did not hear it, my friends said it was very noisy in the night. They stayed there for two nights and the first had a very loud wedding party going on most of the night! If noise bothers you, you might seek another hotel. The breakfast was not as good as expected. Not much western food. They told me via e-mail that the drop-off to the railway station was complementary but as it turned out was not true. Not much things to complain actually. Wifi poor and had to pay extra. Initial room near lift in constant use throughout the night moved rooms next day. Banging off doors by other guests? What to do. Not much. I liked that it was a little out of the city but this may not be good for other travellers. If you want a "european" bathroom (meaning do not wish to shower on the toilet) ask for a superior room which is 14 euros extra. The staff at reception gave us rooms without balcony even we booked for the a.c. rooms with balcony. After pursuing, they finally gave it. They give free 1l. mineral water only on arrival day though we paid rent for three days. I loved it all. The balcony rooms are a little outdated - but still great for the price. breakfast very poor. more equipment needed had to wait 15 minutes to get some toasts. You are 7-8 km from the main ghats so you need to hire a driver or be prepared for a long walk. It's not in the city center of Varanasi, you have to take an rikshaw or taxi to the center, it will take you half an hour. room was not the cleanest, but acceptable. we had the deluxe room, but there was nothing deluxe there. room was quite old. Hot water system is faulty. Linen are clean but old. Travel desk rates are very high and terms unreasonable. The guide arranged by the hotel. He didn't have good information about Varanasi and kept taking advantage of being from a higher casta. We don't believe in castas at all and we hate this mentality. Hotel is a bit faded: not like on the pictures on internet ; the bedroom was really bad looking, really old, awful bathroom ; the gardens appeared much more smaller than on internet ; breakfast was average. We were told that we were upgraded. This meant a room with black fungus ceiling. We didnt accept. they put us in another room next to the noisy elevator, the room was not clean (but that seems to be normal in India). the room offered to us was quite old. vary basic.ALL furnitures are old. small TV. food is expensive. If you want to stay in this hotel, please consider the following: - it is possible to stay in much better hotels for a little bit of money - you can get much better food in nearby 5 star hotels for almost the same price - internet was down most of the time - additional services are overpriced - car services in the hotel or at the gate are overpriced and unreliable, just walk to the main street - rooms have poor furniture and not very clean.
