We enjoyed very much during our stay at Golden crest. The boat houses are very clean, tidy and well decorated. The tours provided by them were well organized, we really enjoyed the pinnic lunch on the small island during the boat trip as well as the horse riding tour. Every time when we were back from outside, they served us hot tea, coffee and hot water for bathing was ready too. The food were very delicious. We would highly recommend this boat house to all. We stayed for a week and visited near by places like Gulmarg, Sonmarg, Pahalgam, Yousmarg and Srinagar local. House boat arranged complete package for us a very competitive price. It was great value for money. A good place for budget vacation. Got exactly what was advertised on the site. Great location. Hospitality and comfort was great, making us feel very much at home. Dishes prepared on demand were of exceptional standard, and even better than those on offer in the best restaurants in Srinagar. No hidden charges!. My wife and myself enjoy the homemade kasmiri tea.It was a pleasure to stay in the boat for one night. The owner's family and particularly his children were very helpful and made our stay very pleasant. It was a nice experience in houseboat Golden Crest, we enjoyed the shikaras passing by while sitting on the deck of boat. Aijaz , Rafiq and his parents all were very friendly and we felt at home/. Extremely welcoming, accomodating and friendly.Family run and personal.Excellent location. Organised our tours. Home cooked meals. Kasmiri Kawa. Behavior of the staff are like family member. They have own vehicles and arrange for day tours. the driver was good and we had hassle free, enjoyable holiday. tea served was very good, so was the breakfast. Location. Drawing hall and Dining hall are nice. The staff. WiFi connection and electrical points were pathetic. every thing was excellent. It was very cold at that time. There should be some improvement in washroom. 1 towel for a couple,had to ask for clean towels,nicer shower would have been nice. Place is back side of Dal lake and after this boat the mena bazar (jo lok lutte hay.) starts. WiFi should be okay. Negotiation of food charge/cost at the end, published food cost should be there. child policy was not clear, we had to pay for our 5 yr old child even though we did not ask for extra bed. Purchasing near houseboat mkt. Mattresses, Pillow Covers etc are not up to the mark. No place to hang clothes . Inspite I booked the house boat with my child who is 11 yrs, they insisted me to pay for extra bed over and above I was informed to pay by letsbookhotel.com which was rs. 1000/-.
