Overall I like this hotel very much.This was my third time stay in this property. The staffs are very friendly,courteous and very professional. On my last day of checking out, My actual check off time was 6 pm but my flight was past midnight. Upon request the front desk staff one Miss Jayashree gave me a complimentary extension till 9.pm. The lobby manager Mr.Milton is another excellent exemplary front desk staffs who really cared for the guest.These staffs are really great assets to the Reside.
all reviews » Very good location within easy reach of airport and city venues. Pool area very good - little noisy due to location but facilities more than made up for that. Good range of choices for eating and refreshments. Staff very welcoming and happy to help. Ability to change a/c to meet own requirements was a joy. Shower excellent. The nachos and potato skins in Bike & Barrel were delicious - yum. 1) Clean comfortable rooms and great location- around 10-15 minutes away from Nungambakkam Rd & Khader Nawaz Khan Rd 2) Their specialty south Indian restaurant was fantastic- we had a very memorable meal 3) Breakfast buffet expansive and will leave you spoiled for choice 4) Bang on value for your buck at INR 4,500 we couldn't have gotten a better deal. I stayed at the hotel for business purpose and booked it through letsbookhotel.com at an exceptional rate - value for money is just great. The bar is nice, the restaurants offer very good quality, rooms are conveniet and personnel is very attentive - I would surely stay here again. The staff and service were 5 star. Praveen, the accommodation manager is First Class and really made our visit to Chennai a wonderful trip. do enjoy the club level with 24 hr Wifi, laundry service, complimentary drinks and fruit. If you need transportation to a meeting in the city in the afternoon and make arrangements with the reception in the morning they tend to forget about the arranged details and you have to start over which may cost you time. They also deal with their hotel vehicles only. Incorporation of a regular radio taxi company would be a good idea. What's not to like?. Toiletries were less for a hotel of this standard. Everything was available on call only. Breakfast could be slightly changed every other day as it was the same manu everyday. Lunch and dinner menu could include some specials to please people staying there for long. Slow checkin, checkout sometimes. Reception not very friendly during check-in. Food was average and not worth the price they charge, save for Main Street. nothing. Lovely pool no service . The card ready on the door would not read my room card and had to wait to have the Staff find maintenance to replace battery before getting into the room. Nothing at this price. The security check. Every time you enter by vehicle n also at the door. We had the Residency Club room booked. It came with certain additional benefits like free coffee/tea in their club lounge - but it took them forever to bring them when requested. If they offer such benefits then they should offer quality service. The Room does not have large Mirrors which women love to have for dressing up. Could hear what the neighboring room toilet being used. Situated a bit far away from the airport. Transport to and from airport is expensive. There were no toiletories. The House Keeping not responding on time, they came after 30 minutes. Very slow room service and delay in registration despite prior booking via letsbookhotel.com. Not much of food choice. Service levals at Break Fast could be improved. There are many people moving but the responsibility could be focussed to serve customers better. The linen quality need to be improved a lot. The towels are mostly darkened due to long time reuse without proper bleaching. Nothing really. Bathroom too small Not enough towels. Room service and service in the Indian restaurant was slow. Some of the personnel of reception are really impolite , not helpfull. Nothing in particular. Wait for airport pickup too long. Extremely uncomfortable hotel cars. Very, very unproffessional staff. The Breakfast is good .Well spread but the service is far from satisfactory. There are so many people floating around , seniors and juniors .They need to identify responsibilities and serve the guests.Everyone seems to be doing everything. Response is very late.Once the guest leaves the tables are not re-done and prepared for others guests at 8.30 am . Please give some attention to this. have to improve the late night food. was not upto the residency standard. We were accompanied with a baby of 18months and they didn't give us several times a spoon to feed the baby,they said not allowed in the lobby! A stupid uncomfort for us.. The double beds are so small, we were scared to fall in the night! No airport pickup/drop service! The wifi access complicated!. Building is a little old. Front office management don't have any authority to take a decision with regard to guests comfort ie if a guest have dispute they have to talk to management to take action which take long time could be a day or tow.
