We had the most wonderful experience at the hotel. We arrived early one morning (8.30am) and were escorted to our room; asked for a late check out the next day and once again, they obliged. The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The restaurant was very pleasant and the food was delicious; the waiters even had a laugh with us. all reviews » The hotel was beautifully decorated, the rooms were spacious and well equipped. We booked ourselves in for a massage which was very good although at £35 for an hour - quite expensive. Staff were friendly and helpful although probably a little too imposing. The pool looked lovely although it was too cold when we visited to actually swim in it. The room had a a view of the Taj Mahal. The best thing about the hotel is its location, as it is quite near to the Taj Mahal, The staff of the hotel is very friendly and cooperative. It's a completely neat and clean hotel, with high-end luxuries. The food is very good and tasty in all of the hotel's restaurants, and the rates are quite reasonable. Superior room was quite something - a suite rather than a room. Very spacious, beautifully furnished, and luxurious in all respects. The restaurant is good and reasonably priced, if a little lacking in character. Super place for stay in. Very clean, good service.Nice pool. Friendly staff. It was clean and comfortable, and the reception/ travel booking staff were helpful. The tasting menu in their Indian restaurant was good, and an opportunity to test out some different dishes. The bar was good and the barman very friendly. - The indian breakfast - the restaurant : good food, good service - location may not seem glamourous but the other well-rated hotels' locations are worse. Staff very thoughtful, always asking if we were happy with our room. Pool area is nice has a colonial feel which I like. Manager was able to adjust the date which was one date different due to time did fences between countries. Room was clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was average, although the restaurant itself was very nice. The are around the hotel wasnt particularly nice.. Although I am not sure if any of Agra is really that "nice". I stayed for one day only, but it was because of my tight schedule. I wish I could have stayed there much longer. I don't have any complaints. They told us we had a King size bed but it definitely was not and unfortunately The sheets smelt a bit funny. Needs a few more loungers in pool area. You have to pay for WIFI and it's quite expensive. No WiFI included. Breakfast room could be improved in sense of ambiance. Pigeons around the pool. There was no sound proofing in the rooms so it was very noisy at night. The restaurant staff were sometimes over-attentive - asking if things were alright too often, but at the same time, it was often a long time before they came to get your initial order. The main business was large tour groups. - Just freezing in the lounge - well, it's just Agra, so do not expect a romantic stay. Hotel seriously needs a facelift or rebuild. The room was incredibly noisy - we had no choice but to pay more for a Taj Mahal view room, which actually wasnt that great and the windows were not sealed at all so traffic noise was very loud - in India the honk continuously and seems that plenty of big trucks follow this route in the wee hours. Bad sleep = bad stay, would never reccomend this hotel. Supposedly in an executive room only had a single bed which was not comfortable. Old scraggly towels. Bad mosquito problem here. Woke up coveted in bites from mosquitoes while sleeping. The breakfast restaurant, and the service.
