  The new owner was really kind to us. We were on our honeymoon and he made our stay extra comfortable. He was also willing to let us know if the northern lights came out, which they did a little while we were there. It's a good place to see them as the hotel is just over the bridge from Borgarnes, so there is not much light pollution. Breakfast was... what people say » nice. - The owner and staff are really great, very friendly and fun. The fish buffet was really fantastic. I stayed at the hotel with a couple of people who don't like fish. They were persuaded to try it - there comments: "this is the best meal I have ever had", "it doesn't even taste like fish".

  Beautiful house right on the coast. We stayed in the front room downstairs. The room was large and comfortable with fantastic views of the sea. The shared bathroom was clean and available. The breakfast was very good and the views from the dining room are spectacular. We ate dinner at a local restaurant serving Philipine food and it was ... what people say » very good and reasonable with friendly, welcoming owner/server and within walking distance of the B&B. - The B&B is located next to the shore in Borgarnes. The stuff were very helpful, in was nice rooms and an excellent breakfast. The kids loved it - they had newly made panncakes. The best stay we had on our seven days driving round Iceland!

  Rooms were gigantic. Beds were very comfortable. The room had a private bathroom with decent shower. Some rooms (not ours) had refrigerators. We had a view of the harbor and no street noise. Breakfast was standard for Iceland, and did include boiled eggs, meat, and cheese. The hotel had a nice restaurant for dinner as well. Internet access w... what people say » as free, but only in the lobby. Service was good and the staff was helpful. - Close to Snaefellsjokel, the ice-covered volcano we came to see. Also near many cliff walks to see birds, exotic lava formations, etc. Local women were having an office party; we loved seeing Icelanders as they are, kicking back and having a good time, not just tolerating us tourists. Has a lift (elevator) and food was good, not special.

  We stayed in the house for a night and it was one of the most relaxing and comfortable stays during our trip to Iceland. The house is located on the edge of the town, 2-minute walk away from the sea. The facilities are very clean and cozy. The kitchen is well equipped with everything necessary if you feel like making a breakfast or dinner. The own... what people say » ers are an extremely welcoming, kind and helpful couple who make you feel right at home. As a bonus they have two wonderful dogs (in their upper floor - Teigur Rooms and Appartment was the b-e-s-t place we stayed during our two-week trip around Iceland. We loved the adorable owners who immediately made us feel as part of their family.

  Its location is near to the national park area so it is convenient to base ourselves here. The reception is not in the same block as the apartment with ensuite bathrooms although we didn't have much problem finding our way as we had our GPS. The apartment block was very well maintained, the shared kicthen and dining area are well stocked and spaci... what people say » ous enough. A comfortable stay. - Loved the facility and decor, bright clean and colorful. Quiet. The communal kitchen was a fun place to eat, so many different languages being spoken and foods being prepared. I wish we booked at more hostels on this trip of 12 days.The receptionist spoke 5 different languages- pretty darn impressive all the way around.

  I loved it. A great place to stay, centrally located in a wonderful town. Great facilities, good quality bed and a spacious studio. A neat, fully equipped apartment, even has a washing machine. Would recommend to anyone. Perfect for couples as well as families with children. Lovely hosts, great service and flexibility. There are a few restaurants in Borgarnes and the most are within walking distance. We loved our stay.
